It does get better outside of the rookie series. Don't get caught up into getting the B or A license, you might find a series that you really enjoy at the lower level with a group of guys (Late Model, Mustang, etc.) Once you get to the car you really enjoy, you'll forget about the SR system and race.

In fact being obsessed with "leveling" as I refer to it, I actually have digressed in my racing abilities with other cars.
All I have learned up to this point is how to maximize my SR points per race. So I make sure not to qualify good or not at all, then I instantly pull to the right on the rolling start, let the field pass me then I like to keep maybe a 5-10+ car gap between me and the person in front.
Next, I keep about 50% of my focus on my relative values and the rear view mirror and I have to drive much slower because of it and I just go around and around until I see somebody in the rear view. Which at that time I start slowing my pace down a little and then I ride the high line until they pass.
As you can imagine, it gets pretty boring.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
So I got my class D license and treated myself to a couple of cars, one of them being the NW car.
Wow, I can't remember the last time I was in awe in a racing game. It was a beast. I loved the sound of it and how it drove. It's definitely going to be a challenge taming that beast.
I also purchased the late model which was pretty fun as well. If the truck is in between, I think I'm going to really like that sweet spot between them.Comment

The mustang is probably one of the best cars for road racing, if you havnt ran much road stuff. The skip barber, for me, is pretty hard.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
If that ever becomes somewhat regular, I wouldn't pitching in and hosting a race for you guys. Especially if I can just pay to host and then transfer the rights to somebody else to manage.
I currently have the LM, truck, and Nationwide, and planning on getting the COT if there is demand for it in the hosting sessions.
And I have a few tracks including Daytona,Talledega, and Texas, forget what else.Comment

I would absolutely pitch in. I own the all the cars that come with the start up pack(obviously), and the COT. I am buying the truck, and NW car this thursday though. I am also picking up Texas, Chicago, and Atlanta also!Twitch - bluengold34_osComment
