I second Flamehead's question about DNF.

I can't wait to hear more about the vehicle damage. This is what I'm most excited about. No other racing game to date has done a good job of this and if the goal is realism then this is a must.

If Forza and GT are meant to be "realistic" then why do they have poor damage modelling and physics? I don't play racing games to smash into things but accidents happen from time to time and I'd like to see some realism in this area. Nothing takes you out of that sim experience more than having your car slam into a wall or another vehicle at high speed only to have the car stop unrealistically or bounce of with no car damage. Even the new footage of GT5 shows car damage that's modelled inaccurately based on the collision that's taken place eg high speed crash into a wall which merely leaves scratches on the bonnett, a loose bumper and slight damage is NOT realistic. The car should disintergrate/crumble in this instance.

The fact that the devs for Nascar 2011 are giving this often overlooked area of the game serious attention gives me hope.

Will it be like in NASCAR Total Team Control whereby you could switch to driving your team mates car?

Will this game be like EA's version of Nascar or Nascar Racing from papyrus, How many actual drivers will be in the game, Will the field have 43 drivers or less, Will this game have a watch mode?

How in-depth is your set up garage? Springs, spring perch offset, camber, tape, caster, spring rubbers, and so on. How deep will setting up a car be and what kind of in race adjustments can be made like tire pressure, wedge, track bar? To me that's one part that is very important.

For career mode, are you offered contracts from real existing teams (not just fake made up cars) as you progress?

            For example #24 Dupont Chevy
            Battle.net: xXKING08Xx
            Origin: Xx_Fade2B1ack_xX

            RAVENS/ORIOLES

Sorry I have to second this in a big way. I would flip if I can save in game and continue later. It would be nice to play a full season at 100%, man just being able to put in 20-40 laps would be very nice.

I might actually do a career mode for the first time.

                A couple of questions/concerns:

In yellow flag situations after an AI to AI induced wreck, will it be possible to take caution laps and drive by the aftermath? For instance, seeing a wrecked car with maybe tow trucks by it, smoke coming out of it, etc. In the past, all NASCAR games have the cars simple drive back to the pits or just disappear altogether (no matter the damage to the cars). Would be great realism to actually drive by and see that kind of interaction happening. And if its bad enough, red flag conditions as well?

Is dynamic weather going to be included similar to F1 2010? That would add some pit strategy if you knew rain was coming and either was going to be red flagged or stop the race altogether after 50 percent has been completed.

This is probably a lot to ask but I feel with current technology, we should be at this point for NASCAR games.

Thanks! and looking forward to the finished product!

Alright ask maybe if there will be a league section. I know everyone was big in the league department back in 09's hay day.

and If the damage will be life like. Like if i hit the wall and bust up the front end will they fix it. In real life they can come in and take the whole front end off and replace it entirely.

I think it would be cool to have the option if u get severe damage to have the option to repair it. Like if i break a trackbar mount or a suspension issue to pick go behind the wall and repair it and come out like a certain number of laps down.

""that was a very bad thing in Nascar 09. Being in a league race and on the first lap u get wrecked and have to drive around for 150+ laps going 20 mph slower. I would rather have the option to go behind the wall and repair something an be 15+ laps down than run around like a turtle.

Those are a few of my concerns, I may have more though. I will get together with some league buddies.

A lot of good questions already...mine are the following:

                    1. Will accidents be more dynamic, so cars will crash without me causing the crash?
                    2. Will I be able to drive behind Harvick and Hamlin and watch them bang on each other?
                    3. Will drivers be smart with their pit stops? Will they scale appropriately if I only want my races to go 50 laps?
                    4. It looks like there's no Nationwide or trucks in the game?

I'm not that into hardcore sim racing, and I quite like the racing in NASCAR 09...it's just so bland, with no life to the drivers or the career.

Will a steering wheel be required to drive the car in simulation mode (assuming there are different levels) or without driving aids (assuming there are)? By "required" I don't mean that you have to have a wheel plugged in to enter the "mode". However, driving a real racecar would be impossible without a steering wheel of some sort. Hopefully they have geared enough towards the sim racer's to make the game worthwhile for them too. Competition for iRacing could only help to boost the racing game's market...

                          - Will there be the Nationwide series included? As well as the Craftsman Truck series?

                          - Do you start out your season mode already in the Sprint Cup?

                          - Will alcoholic beverages be included as sponsors? (kinda already know the answer)

                          - Can you have 2 players, 43 cars on the track?

                          - Can you take the season mode online with friends? If so will it have a full field...not just user cars?

                          - Do drivers retire?

                          - After wrecks, is there a replay system to see what happend?

                          - After running over debris, can you lose a tire or worse?

That is all for now, im sure i will think of more later.

                              General questions:

                              1) Any difference between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions?

                              2) What was their biggest challenge in making the game?

                              3) Support for the G27 and Microsoft wheel?

                              Technical questions:

                              1) Any indicators or the feel of a tire going down?

                              2) Can you run out of fuel?

                              3) Can you spin the tires on restarts?

                              4) Cautions for debris?

                              5) Is it possible to get paper or other items floating around on the track caught on the grill forcing the water temps to soar?

                              6) Rivals trying to take you out later in the season for something you did earlier to them or is it only the immediate next race?

                              7) Is there a TRUE SIM mode for the real nascar racers?

                              8) Pit road speeding penalties or does the CPU control our cars?

                              9) Commit cone violations?

                              10) Bump draft option without being able to see the air that was discussed in another interview?

                              Thanks again brother!

More in depth questions about the career mode. Will we be able to build engines, bodies, chassis, and make shop upgrades like in Nascar Thunder? This added a lot to those games, but the unrealistic sponsor expectations runined it. I think they tried something like this with the later EA titles but purchasing a engine or body upgrade just didn't have the excitement as the new engine builder you hired building you a new superspeedway engine that was going to be finished just in time for Talledega Also is it just sprint cup or is nationwide and the truck series included?

I also think a car repair in the garage would be better than limping around the track. F1 2010 takes like 5 minutes away from your practice time if you smash the nose on the car.

Oh almost forgot, Will the AI perform correctly at Daytona and Talledega and draft with you or continuely try to pass you the entire race? That was always a huge disappointment to me in EA's games.
