    EXCELLENT GT5 Car Database

I've had the game since Christmas and one frustration I had was constantly navigating in and out of the various menus constantly to find the appropriate cars for various events (I don't purchase the most powerful car to blow through the events--I like to match up with the competition as evenly as possible). I had wished there was some type of sortable database that would allow me to filter car information so that I didn't have to keep navigating menus.

I'm sure there are several out there, but the one I found most helpful was this one:

Gran Turismo 5 complete visual cars and tracks dynamic database, favorites cars, images and videos.

It's really proving useful when I want to find out what cars are eligible for various events, sort by weight, hp, if they can be won through some other event, etc., all with a few clicks.

Thought you guys might find it useful as well.

Ok, this is getting really good. Check this out: a guy over on GT planet put together a spreadsheet that actually helps calculate the best matchups based on opponent using power to weight ratios per event. Very impressive. The first link below is for the spreadsheet, the second the first page of the actual thread. Make sure you enable macros.

I've created a matchmaking program (Excel spreadsheet) for all A-spec events. In a nut shell, it looks at your car database and determines which cars would be the best match for any event, with just one or two mouse clicks. So far, it's worked beautifully; I've had some of the best races ever in...
