Re: indycar series 2005 track setups

I've found that to be competitive, there really is no "type" of setup that carries over from track to track. Rather, you have to adjust your settings per individual track (makes sense, right?).

Are you looking for setups for any particular track?

        Sure, no problem:

All assists off, automatic AI adjust off.

        Race Setup:

        Tire Pressure:
        FL – 35 PSI
        FR – 39 PSI
        RL – 41 PSI
        RR – 49 PSI

        Springs:
        FL – 60%
        FR – 60%
        RL – 75%
        RR – 75%

        Dampers:
        FL – 45% / 40%
        FR – 45% / 40%
        RL – 60% / 45%
        RR – 60% / 45%

        Ride Height:
        FL – 2.2 in.
        FR – 2.4 in.
        RL – 2.2 in.
        RR – 2.4 in.

        Gears:
        1 – 81 mph
        2 – 141 mph
        3 – 195 mph
        4 – 218 mph
        5 – 239 mph
        6 – 249 mph

        Camber:
        FL – 0.4
        FR – (-0.5)
        RL – (-0.3)
        RR – (-0.5)

        Toe In:
        FL – 0.3
        FR – (-0.3)

        Wings:
        F – 1
        R – (-4)

        Qualifying Setup:
Same as above except the following changes to the gears:

        Gears:
        1 – 81 mph
        2 – 143 mph
        3 – 197 mph
        4 – 220 mph
        5 – 243 mph
        6 – 250 mph

Also for qualifying, I’ll set fuel load to 4.32 or 4.94 laps, fuel mixture to 7, and weight jacker all the way to the right (maximum oversteer). I use the Microsoft steering wheel, but I don’t think that matters.

Interestingly, I found that with other tracks, my race and qualifying setups varied a bit more, but not so much at Indy
