I am in my 2nd semester as a CS student and I can assure u than creating the new points system is easy as hell, however testing it could be another story. You are just changing around the definitions of variables already in place.

It might have something to do with them giving us the 2010 season and then 2011 going to the new car models. This would be one more system that would have to change going from 2010 to 2011 in the game. Again having to delay to work the bugs out, they probably opted to not add any other variables moving into the final stage of release.

What's wrong with getting the 2011 cars in June anyway? This at least gives the devs time to get the ratings and AI performance right. You'd be complaining more if they released them when the game shipped and it was all wrong.

Take F1 2010 for example - they released that about 6 weeks before the end of the 2010 season. If they had released it at the start of the season, or even June, a lot of the car performance ratings would have been wrong.

I don't see how people are complaining when the 2011 update is FREE!!! Two seasons for the price of one and people are not happy.

As for the points system, yeah it's a shame they can't get that in there, but I didn't even know there was a new points system until Daytona, so it won't have been easy for the devs to sort that out. You never know, we MIGHT get a patch.
