Bluengold thanks for answering questions about the game. I assume the Milwaukee Mile is not in the game this year since there is no Nationwide
series, correct. I love that track, it's way better than Chicagoland.

Blue, Im sure youve seen this pic of a custom car on another thread. Notice the headlights! Now am I missing something? Because you did just say that you couldnt find any manufacturer decals or the ability to change the manufacturer on the car. If that isnt the case than do you think the headlights were made by the "artist" for this car pictured?

I can't give you anymore insite to it at all. I really can't find a way to pick different manufacturer's when creating a car. It may be there....and please keep in mind the instruction book is only 3 pages. I will keep trying to finad a way to change or choose, and maybe I am just missing something.

thanks for doing this in-depth review. While the gameplay itself sounds great, this whole damage thing really bothers me, a lot. The whole thing these devs have been preaching the whole time how it is simply the most breath taking, realistic damage model in a racing game ever. Well, I am very unimpressed so far. If this was a huge focus of this game, then how come the damage is screw up so bad? The damage is what makes the game more realistic. I think that absolutely sucks that you have to wait for a replay before you can even tell if your car is operable or not. Seeing cars roll, smash up, pieces torn off of them, tires blowing out, etc. is what makes nascar so exciting. When i think of the damage engine they have shown and told us about, I picture myself as Cole Trickle smashing Russ Wheeler and Rowdy Burns into the wall and seeing debrees and tire marks showing up on the side of the car. Looks like I can't relive this

The only issue so far has been, when(out of request) I turned around at Dega and drove head-on into the pack. I was expecting catastrophic damage, and it just wasn't there. Now in game racing(as proven by photo's I uploaded) the damage is done very well, if I am racing in a realistic fashion......but thats your call, and needs to be respected.

How do the controls work? Can you customize the controller settings to your own liking?

You can customize everything in regards to the controls....and I mean everything!

Not this year...only NASCAR sanctioned tracks are in the game. They may do some DLC tracks later, but I have no idea. I really like the MM also, and would buy it in a heartbeat, if the put it up as DLC.

Have you ran any of the mile and a half tracks such as Texas, Atlanta, Charlotte? If so do they feel different than each other.

Another question, will I be able to make Kahnes #4 Red Bull car? Is the paint booth that extensive?

Maybe they did that on purpose, to encourage gamers to actually play the game and race instead of just wrecking on purpose (because in the end, Nascar doesn't want their game to be just violent, fiery wrecks, they want the focus to be on the competitiveness on racing). Have you been able to get into the meat of the pack, while racing, and purposefully hit a car in the quarter panel and cause a nice pile up? If so, how was the damage, or was it just like the wreck where you went the wrong way and hit the pack? Maybe this could clear up confusion.

You said earlier you was racing, and the AI wrecked and caused a big one, how was the damage there? Was it toned down, or real time like the replay?

Please if you could post a pic or two of Texas that would be nice. I have yet to see a pic of that track and it is my home track. Also is the coke zero 400 at Daytona sunset or is it at night in the game ?

The Coke 400 will probably be set at Dusk and may get a little darker as the race goes on.

Well show it then. I gurrentie it wont be at daytime. Also richmond, kentucky and a few others have videos for NTG11 and they are set at dusk. So Daytonas Coke 400 will be at dusk.

I didn't say it was a day race, there is no day night or dusk to night transitions

Dude, go look at Daves youtube videos. Kentucky is set at dusk and so is richmond. Thats actuall gameplay! I didnt ever say day to night transition did I? I stated that it would be set/start off at dusk!

yes I have run all 3 of thos tracks, and they all have a different vibe to them. Each track really does have it's own personality and feel.

The damage that I posted the pics of in Chicagoland and WGlen, were both real-time damage photos.

And some very good news on the HUD homefront. I did figure out that actually while in race, you can turn off all the stuff on screen. It's not there in the garage, but in-game right before a race...you can turn off all on-screen display items

how far are you from knowing if career mode has multiple seasons? and if it progresses or is 2010 season every year? thanks
