At 20% race length, how long does a race typically take you to complete?

And what tire/fuel wear are you using (standard or one of the accellerated) and how is that doing for need for pit stops?

Unless I am missing something (or my math is off), it would seem that if you were running 20% and did x4 tire wear, that would nearly equate to a normal race because you are running about 1/4 of the race (actually 1/5), but your tires and fuel is running out 4 times faster. So, at Daytona, if they typically run 50 laps on fuel/tire run, I assume that a 4x wear would mean that the fuel/tire run would be 12.5 laps. If you ran a 20% race (which would be 40 laps for the 500), you would have 3-4 stops. Is that how it is supposed to work? And does it?

can you save in the middle of a race...tried to search the thread but nothing came up

I have never seen an option to do so, when I quit a race early. If I am not mistaken, in the initial interview I did with Ed, I think that is something they are trying to get in next years version

Man! I don't care what any of these guys whinning about the game have to say(even though they don't even have it) I can not wait for tomorrow. I'm just totally stoked to be getting a new nascar game. let's go racing boys!!!!!!!!

It really is all about expectations and perception. There are going to be people who get it tomorrow, and just don't care for it. They were expecting something else, or something more...and that's their right. You will have people who think it's ok, and some people who will love it. I will stand by my my word though, as I love this game and think it's the best NASCAR game to ever hit a console!

I heard that some gamestops are doing midnight releases is this true? and if so anyone know if there are going to be any gamestops open at that time in florida? thanks.

It really is dependent upon your area. I know my local one is, but I know others that are not. I just want to pick up TW:Masters Edition, so I will be there tonight. I really thought more GS's would as you have WWE All Stars, NASCAR11 and TW:Masters Edition

1. What is the length/percentages of races online?

2. Have you all raced with the Xbox Wheel? How good is the FF and response?

3. Is the patch live yet?

Blue or Senior NASCAR do they have tutorials on how to set up your car.
When I had NASCAR 09 all I did was the quick race setups not the detail
ones. I want to do a real setup but I am not very bright when it comes
to this. Looking forward to Tuesday!!

I'll be honest with everyone, I really don't see myself playing career mode that much/if any. I'm more of a online guy when it comes to racing games and most sport game. If this title can have fun online racing with set-ups that may get you quicker than next guy I'm fine.

*No lag or connectivity issues
*Tire/Fuel wear are working good
*Tuning cars to fit tracks
* The tracks and cars meet expectations of online racing
* Mics work good

Anything else would be nice, but this is what I'm looking for. Just want a fun online expierence for myself and the RCRL league I'm in. See you guys on the track

I believe it is 2% 5% 10% 25% 50% and 100%, which kinda sucks, because in off-line you can choose from 1 lap to the actual race length, in 1 lap increments. I really wish they would have given us this option online also.

I will defer on this one, as I am on the PS3. 360 Version doesnt come until tmrw morning.

I have been told that the patch is live for the PS3, and is making it's rounds right now. I was just on about 30 minutes ago, and it was not available for me..

Noles, I am right there with you. I have an ok understanding about setting a car up, but it's not my strong point. The thing I love is when your in the pits, it has a meter bar as to how loose or tight you wan the car to be. It really has a very strong effect when you change this. I was at Dover and was just hoping to be a little looser, and moved it down towards the looser option about 25%, and made a world of difference.

ive noticed in some videos that as the race goes on the racing line gets darker and darker a.k.a "rubbering up" is it a pre planned thing or is it real time? as in if more cars are running the highline the whole track in the turns are going to get darker and darker?

For those of you asking if Amazon will add the $25 credit to existing preorders I can tell you that they pretty much always do. The same thing happened with Tiger Woods also out this week. It started as a $10 preorder credit and was bumped up to a $25 one before release. You guys that had it already preordered should be good to go.
