What is the final consensus on Xbox 360 vs. PS3 version? I'm probably going to wait for a patch either way, but is one version better or more stable than the other?

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
I have ps3 played everyday since Tuesday, never froze til Sunday, first was when I ended practice session, second was after split screen race with step son, third was after career mode race. Now that I have thought about it all three times were at Texas. However I had ran three or four races there before it happened.Last edited by nflman2033; 04-05-2011, 08:06 AM.Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
got the game yesterday and played the game about 5 hours so far. I really like the game but the rubber banding is really annoying. How can a serious racing game still use sh!t like that? Raced a 200 laper at Fontana yesterday: not a single caution in the entire race and the last placed car was just 8 seconds behind the winner (me, of course). Rubber banding at it's best. Other strange stuff: I always led the race until there were pitstops. I was always 1st when I entered and when I left I was like 35th or worse (after all cars were in of course). It also didn't matter if I was in the pits one lap before everyone else or vice versa, so that has to be a bug, too.
Online was also fun but only 1 out of 10 races really works without bugs. The Paint Shop is fun but unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to create a good looking car
edit: just read in the official forums that there really is rubber banding in the game and that they probably remove it in the next patch. Great news imo.Last edited by gigadkc; 04-05-2011, 11:21 AM.Bundesliga: Bayern München

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
what is a realistic time frame for the patch and the 2011 DLC?
My guess is the 2011 DLC will come sometime in late-April, and the 2nd patch will arrive in mid-June.13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
The way I understand it from their forums, their first priority is the 2nd patch even before the DLC. If the DLC was scheduled for April, they'd probably push it back until the 2nd patch was released.
Their working on a fairly extensive patch list. Given the time it has to be tested then sent to Microsoft and Sony for approval, my best guess for the 2nd patch would be mid-May give or take.Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Blue's impressions got me psyched.
Reading the rest, however, I'm glad I didn't rush out and buy on day one.
Sounds like they have alot-----and I mean, ALOT-----of work to do just to make it playable.
What a shame. OTOH, thank goodness for great mods available for NR2003. Everything from paints and tracks to engine sounds and REAL spotters that don't talk stupid c**p during races, lol.
Oh well......maybe NTG 2012 will be much better.Comment

Some of the biggest issues people have, I have never had to deal with. My wheel works great with it(GT driving force) I have learned how to control my car with the AI bump-drafting me(using a wheel). The yellow comes out most of the time, but not all. Sometimes I feel like I am playing a different game than a lot of people on here. Thats not to say that I have not run into issues, I have, but it just doesn't feel nearly as extreme as what I am seeing on OS and Eutech's own site. When I say those things people just call me a homer, a liar, that I am on the payroll for Eutech.
I posted the videos early on, and I am still having about the same experience as I was back then. I sat on the 360 for 3 hours the other night playing, and hardly ran into any issues, but that was running mainly 20-30 lappers on very hard, in race now mode.Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 04-05-2011, 02:57 PM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Blue (or anyone else with a DFGT), since you are also using a driving force GT, I'm wondering if you have the 'problem' where the wheel doesn't return to center when calibrating during loading NTG'11.
This is the only game I own where it does this, so I just spin it the remaining turn (about 1 full turn) to recenter the wheel before the game starts. Otherwise, the wheel seems fine, just a weird thing.
Also, thanks to whomever recommended turning off all steering assists with the wheel. I was HORRIBLE with steering assists on, and can compete now that I turned them off. Game was practically unplayable for me with steering assists on.Last edited by Lucian; 04-05-2011, 03:59 PM.Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
I should've worded that diffrently. I was actually making it hard on myself. common sense should've told me to enter text and stamp it on the car. i love how i can put my name on my car like some real drivers have if not all of them. lol<a href="http://us.playstation.com/playstatio...vanni819"><img src="http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.co...iavanni819.png" width="230" height="155" border="0" /></a><br/><a href="http://www.us.playstation.com/psn/signup">Get Your Portable ID!</a>Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Mine does that, and then when the "press start" prompt comes on and I press start, it then finishes returning to center.Comment
