Re: Nascar 11 Custom Car Thread
Here's what I've done so far with created cars.
I wanted to do a driver not in the game, Ricky Stenhouse Jr
but I chose Trevor Bayne for now but will change to Stenhouse Jr.
But I didn't realize when I started that
I had to do Camry's due to playing with Kyle. Anyway I
figured what the heck and made Toyotas. First up was the
#57 Heinz car, Heinz 57 anyway that was ok. For alternates I
wanted a Stanley and DeWalt cars and thought to give it a shot.
They came out ok but this creator is totally BS. For what ever reason
on the DeWalt it kept putting something on the back of the car. I'd delete
it and bam, something else would pop up???? I tried reloading it etc...
and no matter what I did couldn't get rid of it....finally I just put the big
craftsman logo over it but it's not what I wanted. I originally wanted to
make a 07 JD car and will. Just have to make the 07 a logo and make it
myself, which with this create a car tool will take a week. This is the worst
car creator I've used and glitchy as all heck, so save save save and more than
one copy cause they can get corrupted. Best of luck to everyone......keeps the pics
rollin in. Oh and that's supposed to be a pickle on the Heinz car....I tried.Last edited by cocacolaman; 04-07-2011, 10:06 PM.Comment

Re: Nascar 11 Custom Car Thread
Thanks cocacolaman! Nice rides, good to see someone use a Toyota for a change... seems like everyone runs a Chevy or a Ford.
I have had numerous issues in the paint booth but with time have found ways around most of them and have also found that alot of it is from me working too fast and not realizing what Im doing. More often than not when I find a shape in the wrong place or something that isnt supposed to be there it is a shape that is on a part of the car that it isnt designated to. Ex. say you have a decal showing on the left side of the car but if you look at the top bar another part of the car is highlighted. That can cause a ghosting effect where a piece is showing up where it isnt supposed to. If you move the decal back to the designated area where you place the decal the mysterious piece should disappear.Comment

Re: Nascar 11 Custom Car Thread
Its actually pretty simple... I didnt care too much to have the proper text because its so small on the car. The font I used(think its Font 1 in Paint Booth) is very close to the real thing... the only thing off is the G. I just put Good in a text decal and year as well and angling it a slight bit so it rounds the wheel well.
For the wingfoot... use the round rectangle for the "toe" of the foot and a half triangle for the "forefoot"... leave a small bit of space for the line in shoe and add a rounded rectangle for the heel as well as a half circle skewed and thinned out so it appears as the heel. Two half triangles above that for the strap and another regular square for the ankle above that. Then two thinned out squares for the sole of the foot. I then used 3-4 thinned out and slightly skewed half circles fanned out to appear as the smaller feathers. A longer half circle for the top of the wing.
Im at work right now(workin hard!:winkso Im not looking at it as I describe it but that is pretty much it.

Re: Nascar 11 Custom Car Thread
My 2nd of 3 flavors for the G Series cars... Orange was Perform
Here is Glacier Freeze-Prime... gonna make a Lemon Lime-Recover as well.
Also made a Miller High Life car with my sponsors and number
Based off of Bobby Allison's #12 Buick
Gonna make the Lemon Lime G series Recover car next... wont take long since Im just changing the color and text on quarter panel.
My next full scheme will most likely be an Advance Auto Parts car.Comment
