Shift 1 / 2 vs. Midnight Club: LA Complete

I've been itching for a racing game of late. I was either thinking of getting Shift 1 or 2, or MCLA: Complete. Shift 2 with the new patch I guess does wonders to the game. Any advice?

Different games in my opinon...If you are looking for a need for speed type race, go midnight club...great game btw....If you are looking for a gran turismo type, go shift 1 or 2. Also, great games...Really, you can't go wrong either way. It all depends on what you are looking for.

Shift 2 is far superior to Shift 1. With the price of Shift 2 being down to $40 I would take it in a second over 1. Midnight Club is also a great game but, as stated, very different experience so depends on what you like.

GT5 is a grind while Forza 3 wasn't. Is Shift 2 a grind or close to Forza 3 in terms of gaining money and XP?

Shift 2 is much more about the racing than the car collecting. I would compare the career in Shift 2 to something like Dirt or Grid more so than Forza or GT. It is pretty easy to earn money in Shift 2 and own what you want.

Midnight Club Complete is one of the best racing experiences I have played.

Take my advice. I guarantee you that you will love Shift 2 (Nodoubt). Shift 1 was better like the early Need For Speed underground versions but lacked street racing style. If you have played all Need for speed versions before Shift 1 you will definitely love Shift 2.

What is the MP like for Shift 2 since the PSN issue....does it require online pass, etc? I'm thinking of getting it too..

found answer in other thread...what is online community like in Shift 1? I know its old but not that old..
