Re: Causing Wrecks In Thunder
Do the cars still block you too much? I know in 2003 you could fly up on a car and it would always come down to block you. If you hit them it damaged your car and didn't affect them at all. I also didn't like how it would slow you down if they pulled in front of you. Are these things different now?Comment

Yeah they still block you but in a different way only if they're your Rivals and your Spotter will tell you that.
In NT2004 the draft is a factor because it's tougher to make a run on the frontrunners of the Sport.. Jr, Gordon, Stewart etc. and blow by them. If you decide to share the draft with them, catching up to them is one thing getting around them is another story. So you have to choose wisely when to make your move.
I've had too many instances where I try to get around a car only to find myself dropping back because I got out of the draft. The draft plays a greater role this year than last.Comment

I never noticed cars blocking in 2003. Thats one of the things I didnt like, it was to easy to pass. Slowing down when someone pulls in front of you is a part of racing, it should be in the game."They talk about the Alabama family not being reasonable and realistic. Well hell no, we're not supposed to be reasonable and realistic. We're Alabama, we're supposed to be the best."

Re: Causing Wrecks In Thunder
I've got a couple of cars that downright hate the fact that I am on the same track as them. Both of them are -100 and they hunt me down to try and ruin my race. Has made my chmpionship run very interesting as I have blown up twice now in the past 6 races due to my rival creaming me into the wall or ramming me in the rear to move me out of his way.
The fact that any rival will flat out block you is great, and the one thing that has really irritated me in the past looks to be finally addressed is that cars will actually draft with you from behind. This is going to make Legend mode a lot more interesting once I bump up. In the past you were solely on your own trying to draft back to the front to get a shot at passing, now your ally will come up behind you and actually help push you. The more cars you help the more likely you will get that needed push. But your rivals will make your race a living hell if you dont take notice of them.

Re: Causing Wrecks In Thunder
My season is with Jeff Gordon and I have a huge rivalry going on with Tony Stewart. I made the pass on him at Loudon and pulled away, but the last two laps he started to catch up, when I checked up around turns 3 and 4 he never stopped and drilled me in the rear. Luckily, it was in the closing laps and I was able to hang on. I also like the fact that rivalry points go down some after each race.

You have know idea how much I used to bitch about this. I hated it in 2003 when I got behind the lead pack and was trying to catch up that no cars would work with. I would end up letting them pass me and I would get behind them to draft so we could catch up. I am so gald this was addressed."They talk about the Alabama family not being reasonable and realistic.
