    Can you save in mid-race?

like you can in Madden? This would help run a realistic race

    also,

can you se who is pitting and who is not if they are in front of you?

    thanks

Don't think you can. If you try to do anything other than race, your option is to "quit" (at least on PC). You can restart it by hitting W on the keyboard (by default), but no save option mid-race.

And as for who is pitting, you can tell if you're really observant. When you're in line, coming around to pit road, the cars that will plan to pit will dip down about half a car width. As it gets closer to the pit entrance, they'll go lower and lower, until they finally get onto the apron.

All the cars down there are pitting
