    rFactor help

So I recently bought rFactor. Get everything installed and downloaded 2 things. The 2010 Boz Sprint Car Mod and the Talladega Short Track (dirt) and now when I try to play the game. It only loads one track and one series. The last one I raced befrore I tried to play the mod.

Example I raced the British GP with the Open Wheel cars before I tried to race the sprints and no matter what I do, the only thing that loads is the Open Wheel cars at British GP.

Make sure you are installing the mod in the original rFactor directory.

    I installed it on c:\program files\rFactor

All the mods install in the \rFactor\gamedata directory. If you download a mod it will have a Gamedata folder... Simply copy that folder over your original Gamedata folder. (Copy and replace, don't worry about the original files.)

Go do a private test in the car you can choose. Once in the session, type "ISI_BABYFACTORY" without quotes into the chatbox and press enter. Then exit back out and see if the cars appear.

I don't want to sound obvious, but check and make sure you've selected all cars and tracks or the specific cars you want to race as in the player settings area. Sometimes you'll just be able to see a certain mod. Also check your mod install data. I've always had difficulty with Dirt car/track mods doing this to me actually. They are only really any fun for online racing or solo testing as the AI will be a crash fest.

Also try using rfactorcentral.net If you pay for the membership you get 1-click installs so you never have to worry about the wrong file paths. You can also use it as a free member, they just wont always host the download file and it will link you to mirrors instead. Still a great site with a lot of rFactor mods.

There are some friendlier mod groups that also hae built in installers to the mod so that you never had that problem as well. One that comes to mind is iDT who makes a lot of IndyCar and road racing mods.

          I hope I helped some,

              Glad it worked out.

I highly recommend PCC '07 and Enduracers mods. Have fun!
