    F1: 2011 - Reviews are coming in

    IGN
    Gamespot

Both fair reviews I thought, and both giving the game a good score.

    Eurogamer as well

Strip away the new lick of paint and it's tough to tell F1 2011 apart from its predecessor, and though it's certainly tighter, smarter and more technically acco

Everything sounds great. I'm eager to pick up the game but these reviews are never deep enough to determine whether or not the bugs will play a significant role in the playability of the game. If they cleaned all that mess up from last year this game has the potential to be the F1 game we've all been waiting for.

Everything I've read indicates they did clean up the problems with last year's game. But what really looks good to me is that it seems the game leans more towards simulation.

I also got a text today from Gamestop saying my F1:2011 will be waiting for me on Tuesday....

I never trust reviews. Usually the reviewer has no idea what he's dealing with, just like Gamespot review demonstrates.

Reserved a copy of this a looong time ago, can't wait to finally get my hands on it tomorrow. Gotta work both jobs so I'll be playing this late into the night/morning.

As long as they fixed the bugs from last year, it's going to be great. I thought 2010 was awesome, apart from the rubberband AI and the pit stop problems.

Well I have it for the 360, and after only 2 races I am not really seeing signs of rubberband AI.

I am also really impressed with the handling, and the improvements made in that area.

I went with the PC version from Steam. Won't get time to play it until tomorrow night unfortunately.

How's the AI? I read elsewhere that it was frustrating bc other cars pretty much refuse to go off the racing line and if a faster car is trying to pass they'll just ram into you and not even try to go offline to pass.

Well I had not heard that before I popped the game in....so I wasn't specifically looking for that. One of the two races I did this afternoon was at Monza. I was heading down the backstretch right before the final 'S' curve, and I was neck and neck with the AI. He conceded as we came to the corner, so in that instance, I didn't see that behavior. I also didn't notice it in either of the 2 races...but please keep in mind the sample size.

I will actually look for this type of AI behavior, when I jump back on tonight.

                        Getting this today after work!

Still not sure if I should get it on PS3 or 360.
I wont be able to use my G27 til' tax time(when I get a stand or seat) so Im thinking maybe I should get it for the 360 because of the range in the triggers as compared to PS3. I use a Power A controller on PS3 because the standard controller is just too small IMO and the triggers dont have much range on that controller.

Damn all y'all talking about how good this game is...

I held off last year, because I have too many racers on the PC, I have been playing RFactor (mods) and iRacing (Williams) for my F1 fix ... and have been wanting to get a new F1 Racer.... now I do.

So who all is going to be on PC and be active for some racing?
