Need nascar game recommendation

Hey All

I just recently got into the sport of Nascar racing and now I am addicted. So I am in need of what game people most recommend Nascar wise for the 360 or pc that fits my needs?

I checked out the nascar 11 but two things I did not like about it was the career mode is just one season and because of that racers do not age, retire, new up and coming racers, etc..

I am looking for the game that has the best career mode, allows racers to age, retire, has new drivers come on the scene and form new rivalries. Career mode in all sports games is important to me. If you could create a driver and start from the bottom that works also.

If anyone can recommend a game to me that would be great. Does not matter if it is an older game. Something to hold me over until the new Nascar game comes out which I am seeing last Q2 or Q3. (Hopefully they fixed career mode by then)

If your willing to spend NASCAR Racing Season 2003 for the PC is the best with everything you could ever want. It only has one season though and might be too much to handle as there sometimes take a lot to get everything to work right as it seems as they tried to make it more online friendly than racing against the computer, but you can get great results by messing with the files.

Otherwise you will not find anything for the 360. NASCAR games really lack in depth. Just not big enough of a base to them to care I guess. There was a good NASCAR game for the PS2 that came out where you started out in Whelen Modifieds and moved up to Trucks, then BGN, then Cup, but even then it was sort of limited as drivers didn't age or anything and only had 30 or so real names.


If you got and liked NR2003 then you would never need another racing game again. It pretty much has everything you could ever need made by the community.

Yeah NASCAR Racing 2003 or NASCAR Racing 2002 will be a bit cheaper and close to the same game. Also you can check into iRacing and see if that is something that might interest you.

Honestly, for what you're looking for you need to go back to PS2/GC/Xbox, for either or both NASCAR Thunder 2004 and NASCAR Dirt to Daytona.

To me, those are the two most fun, balanced, detailed, deepest Nascar titles I've played. I still play NT2004, in fact, on my Xbox (sorry, not BC on 360).

EDIT: NR2003 on PC is brilliant as well, but as was said it's one 'season' and it's primary thing is online racing. But it's still WELL supported by the online community with mods, updated cars, etc.

I kinda like NASCAR 09 on 360. It has a decent career, not as deep as NT2004, but not bad. Has the trucks and Busch (nationwide) series, too. I'm not sure but I think EA doesn't support this game online anymore, but if you can get it cheap it's not bad for single player.

ya, i kinda like the nascar chase for the cup 2005 type career mode the best, i liked being able to drive jimmie's car with my own person, and gettin to look at the trophies as well. But i heard you could be able to communicate w/ ur crew chief and stuff in 06 so thats why i asked.

Go with Nascar Racing 02 or 03....I say stay FAR FAR away from I-Racing for the fact that it cost every month to play, The more we support paying by the Month/Year games, we are never going to get a good offline cd base games, But b4 u flame me, I-racing seem to be a great racing game,

I paid 40 bucks back in 2003. Haven't payed for anything during any year since minus my time to give the game back a couple things to say thanks.

I have to echo this. I recently picked up my first gaming pc and a copy of NR2003 and I absolutely love it. I added the most recent bull-ring mod and plan to add a few tracks not already in the game. I'm really amazed at the talent of some of the modders out there.

Other than Forza, I can only see gaming on PC now for my driving games/sims.
