            I'm not a big fan of Jr. either. But somehow, someway, if Jr. were to be outside looking in, I'm almost sure that there would be a little rule tweak to allow him in.

                  NASCAR announced today that even though Dale Earnhardt, Jr., currently 13th in points, will run in the 10 race "race-off" with the top 10 in the points. However, the 11th and 12th positions, currently held by Rusty Wallace and Jeff Burton, will not participate.

                  ^Yeah, that kind of 'rule tweak'

                    NASCAR announced today that even though Dale Earnhardt, Jr., currently 13th in points, will run in the 10 race "race-off" with the top 10 in the points. However, the 11th and 12th positions, currently held by Rusty Wallace and Jeff Burton, will not participate.

                              actually, it'd be more like, Rusty Wallace and Jeff Burton both used illegal tires and fuel in the last race of the 26 race season. Both will have X number points taken away. Oh look, if you take that many points away, Junior is now in 11th, and look, the 10th place driver has retired, so Junior is in the race
