    Official Wishlist Thread...

This thread will stay here until the game is released. At that point we will stick a new one up, with a link to this this for people who wanted to see the previous years.

Please do not reply to other peoples wishlists, they will be deleted.

Do we specify? I will just in case.

    Gran Turismo Series.

I would like to see an improvement (a significant one) in the computers AI. And I'd also liked to see the Racind Modification feature make a return.

          1. A World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series sequel to the Xbox.

          2. Online play for IndyCar Series.

          3. A quality motocross game without all the emphasis on tricks.

          4. An offshore powerboat racing sim.

          5. A quality dirt-track racing game for the Xbox, whether it's late models, DIRT modifieds or sprint cars.

          6. An American Le Mans Series or FIA GT Championship game.

          7. A quality F1 console game. The best still remains Formula 1: Championship Edition, which was released for the PlayStation in 1997.

          8. Someone to successfully pry the NASCAR exclusive deal from EA Sports before the contract expires.

          9. Acclaim to make Vanishing Point 2 for the Xbox. Vanishing Point for the Dreamcast remains one of the most underrated console racers of all time.

          10. That reviewers would wake up and realize that the Gran Turismo series has the most brain-dead racing engine of any major racing franchise.

          11. The return of the Sled Storm series to its original roots. No more of this EA Big, Fantasyland crap.

          12. The return of the Moto Racer series to the Xbox and PS2.

          13. Someone would port Grand Prix Legends to the Xbox.

          14. A speedway motorcycle or AMA flat-track motorcycle racing game. Speedway motorcycles have NO brakes and race on tracks of 1/8th-mile or less. Insane racing.

          Take care,

For every racing game, always, I repeat ALWAYS have an in-car/cockpit view as an option! At the very least provide a "bonnet" view but really, in-car view should be MANDATORY. IMHO the in-car view does not have to model the insides of the actual car 100% accurately. I'd be satisfied with a generic dash/wheel look for all cars, with the hood of the car modeled properly. This way the developers don't have to do the artwork for the insides of 100s of cars they put in their game. A generic in-car is fine.

                      I completely agree.

Also always have a certain level of free roam on city or real life location based tracks (midnight club got this right)

Another is that tracks/ locations for racing be as full of life as the platform can manage, progect gotham got the garbage and the leaves and the birds flying but basically got nothing else right in this regard

Much less repetition in track design, nfs underground could have used a suburban look or an early morning sunrise look instead of the night time repetive city tracks which all seemed to be basically the same after a while.

ALWAYS have replay modes and ALWAYS have dynamic cameras in these replay modes which show the car at as many different persepctives and angles as possible. This should be available after any race in the game, in ehibition races and quick trial races as well as those which are progress based example career mode etc.

Always have realtime reflections and as highly detailed car models as possible.

and finally Better opponent AI, no catch up AI, just smart driving opponents.

Ratbag needs to release another sprint car game! In that game add or correct all drivers, and add all or most of the snct. bodies! Has been since 2001 since the release of world of outlaws on pc. Ratbag has made a fortune on dirt track racing, make some more and put a new one out!
