Forza Horizon Reviews - Around the Web

Forza Horizon doesn't hit store shelves until October 23rd, but there are plenty of reviews around the web already. (If you find any others, we'll add them to the list.)

I played the demo, and granted demo is not representation of full game - but personally, I like the DiRT series and sense of weight than what Forza brings.... I does look tremendous though graphically and does alot of things right.

Agreed. The weight of the cars feels very off but in forza 4 they do not?

I'm wondering if the weight can be shed in the upgrades to make the car lighter and if this will play a factor in the heaviness feel of the game? I thought that too when playing the demo. Cars seem very heavy.

          No tuning.

This game uses the Forza engine, but it's definitely slanted more toward the arcade side of the street. This game is not a Forza 4 sequel. Comparisons to it are daft.

Watch the Giant Bomb hands on. Garage has the same quick upgrade system as F4. Same performance ranking scale as well. If you don't want to auto tune you can select individual parts to change the power to weight and look of your car. Paint shop looks same as F4 along with storefronts for full car liveries and individual vinyls. You can even import work from F4.

They said online has 'free roam' mode for up to 8 players but no 'always connected' TDU type mode. Not sure if this is full map or not. They did say some of the other online modes like Infection and King of the Hill are roped into smaller zones, one of which is a golf course. Game has car clubs and photo mode for Forza 4 as well.
