No cockpit view in Grid 2

I've been waiting years for this game and I have just found out that the Devs have taken out the cockpit view,because they say only 5% of people use it.I think this is a huge mistake.All racing games at this point should come standard with a cockpit view..For me I'm a true sim racer,no cockpit view = no buy for me..your thoughts on this?

I don't dis Grid 2 for having no cockpit view. I'm a simracer as well...invested a lot of $$ and time in my simracing setup. But I would never go into a session with Grid 2 expecting it to be a sim.

Even Grid 1 was an arcade racer through and through, so no cockpit view doesn't make it less "realistic". Being a Grid game makes it less realistic, so I'll buy it, play it, and probably crash a lot

I have other more hardcore sims for that realism fix. Grid 2 scratches another itch entirely.

I wish there were a cockpit view as well, but their 5% stat isn't the only reason it's not in. The devs state in several interviews that they wanted to make the exterior car models and surrounding tracks as absolutely beautiful as possible, and part of this meant not eating up memory resources with cockpit views.

I'll have to still see it to judge whether or not the trade off was worth it, but from the previews I've read this far, it's a damn gorgeous game.

Yeah I read that too,I'll guess I'll have to wait on Project Cars,that looks truly amazing...

I like cockpit views but I find I race better and get faster lap times using the hood view , also I never used the cockpit view in Grid 1 because the steering wheel moved back and forth so fast it looked foolish and unrealistic, so I'm OK with it being left out.
