i picked this up yesterday. pretty fun overall but def has some bugs to work out. The ai difficulty needs to be improved , allthough i read they are harder on different tracks. Does anyone have any good wheel settings for a g27? it feels a bit sloppy right now even though ive dialed it in a bit. The game def has potential.

Multiplayer has apparently been enabled now. Haven't tried it out myself yet.

well I'll have plenty of time nearly all next week as I'll be house/dog sitting for my brother as he goes away for a business/vacation trip and I probably wont have an active contract during that week. I'll probably only bring the 360 controller with me though, don't feel like dragging the wheel/pedals with me then. so I'll have to warn you to not get too close to me.

Still play it almost daily, but have yet to try an online race, because I'm not racing randoms.

Of course I am still down. just really busy but looking forward to racing it tomorrow. Sadly with no AI in MP - it makes it difficult to not race randoms.

I hopped on and ran a couple against randoms (ugh) when I couldn't find any particular room name. It worked, at least lol

Chad and I just did 2 races.

First was at Sonoma... We turned off all the aids and the cars were very driveable and fun! (360 controller)

Then we tried Texas and that was also fun but we had to turn on some aids to help us keep it on the track. (SC and TC 3 star aids for me)


Notes:

• I didn't notice any network lag or car warping albeit it was only Chad and I.
• The pre-race lobby requires everyone to be there prior to the race server being launched which is kind of bummer since folks often times are late.
• Server admins can turn off/on all aids, custom/or locked setups, change tracks, length and rules on the fly from the server lobby.

Race stuff:

• The default setups are loose from the get go and quickly get worse if you don't take care of your tires.
• Tires are definitely the key to having a strong/decent car in the long run.
• The draft seems pretty well done. Not exaggerated at all and seems fair.

All in all, it seems like a nice alternative to NR2003 but not quite the replacement, yet.

also to note, other than the auto reply that shows what caused a yellow, there are no replays from what I can tell in multiplayer right now. Not even after the race is over.

Interested to see how this turns out. Right now I will pass because it's the same game, but just a little bit better. If they keep patching and fixing though unlike the console versions(patches cost money, but still annoying), it will be worth the cost of replacing my ps3 version.

The biggest things they need to fix from the console is the setup issues and the AI problems. Sounds like they are doing well on the AI from reading thru this thread.
