When will the new thunder come out???

Just curious...This is the only nascar game out now and I wish this was wrong.....I miss Nascar Racing series from Sieraa sports.

It ususally comes out between September and October, why they picked that date is beyond me. I would bring it out in early February like they do for every other sport, the beginning of the season.

I have yet to figure out why EA waits until the end of the year to release the Thunder series. It has been coming out in OCT the last few years. I was hoping that the exclusive deal would mean the game woud come out sooner rather than later but it still looks to be Oct again. I hope NASCAR does not make the same mistake when the current agreement expires.

I think the release of Thunder in October has to do with the EA Sports 500 that is in Talledega that same month. I go to Dega twice a year and it seems like I taked to an EA rep there last season and I asked him the same question.

That is a good point but you would think they would still release it in Jan or Feb when the sports gaming market is quiet. Basketball is already behind them and baseball still a month or 2 away. Not to mention speedweeks start in the beginning of Feb

Hell, I'd even take another NASCAR Heat from Infogrames. Both that and the Sierra games are MILES ahead of NASCAR Thunder, which rivals FIFA as EA's worst series.

Thunder sucks where it really counts, as the driving and racing models are brutal. Typical EA bells and whistles with a rotten gameplay core.

NASCAR Heat 2002 is still a more realistic NASCAR game than Thunder even though it's two years old.
