Sure, I'd be down for that. Much easier to organize than getting a bunch of people together at one time for an event.

Official Gran Turismo 6 | Impresssions and Discussion Thread

I just got this game after neglecting the ps3 for my brand new ps4, and I must say that I really have no reason to turn on the ps4 again until The Show. For once, I'm not reading any reviews and just playing the game, and I couldn't be any more addicted to a game than I am this one. i'm not a racing or car purist, but this game has a sense of realism that games have lost with new hardware. The graphics remind me of how PES used to look on ps2, like a cardboard-like realism in the graphics. Absolutely love it, and I hope they stick to this when they make the leap to ps4. The less cartoonish, the better

I like them. Haven't played them in GT6 though. What do you mean specifically?

Have the same problem. I will try some tuning and see how it goes.

I agree. The one thing I wish GT6 had was more customization in terms of vinyl's and graphics. That is what I loved in Forza and Forza Horizons. Hoping that can make it in the PS4 version or be patched in somehow.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah I'm having trouble finding the sweet spot with steering. I've reduced my sensitivity on the ds3 to try to keep from spinning out.

And sorry for rant. I only need one race to fully star National A and I can't win it for the life of me. It's a kart race.

I'll try the speed tip and see how it goes.

Re: Official Gran Turismo 6 | Impresssions and Discussion Thread

The physics are great, the best balance between realism and ease of use I've seen in a game along with F1 2012.

I only really have two complaints. 1. The AI is so inconsistent it's unbelievable. On lap 1 they can be 10 seconds ahead and just magically forget how to drive until you overtake them and then they are as fast as you again. Needs a lot of work.

                  2. Some of the PS2 car models are awful. Every car should have got a small touch-up at least. For example I have the 2003 Audi S4 - the front is low res and the windows are jagged. Some such as the 2001 and 04 Civics stand out for the same reasons.

All the Premium cars are beautifully modelled and the lighting is some of the best I've seen on any game.

Even with the issues the game is still much more polished than GT5 was when it came out, so it bodes well for the future.

With this, FIFA, The Show and WWE 2k14, I could probably go 6 months without getting a PS4 and not be too bothered. 😎

Had this in my hands at the store today and held off. Might go back and pick it up eventually. I absolutely loved the GT series until GT 5 and just couldn't be bothered with it. Sticking with PC and PS3 for the next year or so so thinking it might be worth investing in.

In case anyone is using the g25 or g27 check out these settings...
Found three undocumented settings from G27, one of them removes deadzone from center, is this "we know it already" stuff and no need for topic at all? Personally haven't know it before. Instructions later if people think at this is something what they want to know. *** [1+2] + O = ~670°...

Re: Official Gran Turismo 6 | Impresssions and Discussion Thread

I received my Gamefly rental copy of GT6 yesterday and installed it when I got home from work this morning. I only had a chance to mess with it for about 30 minutes before I had to leave or work this evening, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I've experienced with it so far I drove the default Honda in the two Novice Cup career races and then in the first Amateur cup race. Out of the gate it had the familiar clinical air of previous GTs, especially early n career mode. I then began to notice that the AI drivers demonstrate a wee bit of independence. It's nice to see a slight break from the lemming-like behavior that I've seen in past games.

I'm using a Fanatec GT2 steering wheel with Club Sport Elite pedals and I used the same Fanatec settings for GT6 as I use for GT5. The handling felt better than any console racer I've experienced, even GT5, which had been my reigning handling champion. I didn't have time to mess with any of the finer wheel and force feedback settings in the game or the wheel, but I have a hunch I can make it better.

Even though I've only got 30 minutes of seat time with the game, I've already picked up on some intangible qualities about this game that make me really want to dive into it, whereas now when I race GT5, I feel like I've been to the barber shop, and don't want to come back again for a month. I'm anxious to try this online starting Monday night.
