There is no place like Nebraska
    Dear old Nebraska U.
Where the girls are the fairest,
    The boys are the squarest,
Of any old school that I knew.
There is no place like Nebraska,
    Where they're all true blue.
    We'll all stick together,
    In all kinds of weather,
    For Dear old Nebraska U!

I totally agree. I'm afraid we are going to start seeing it on a regular basis and it is not going to help the image of nascar. Every race track from here on out will probably try to out do the other. Let's hope not.

Re: Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr.

Holy sh*t, we must have a lot of newer racing fans in here. Boys, races end under caution. Like it or not. This never used to be an issue until about three or four years ago, when the idea of messing with the principles of racing to "enhance the show" became vogue.

It's all a bunch of crap.

When the race is listed as 200 laps, it should stay 200 laps. When it's listed at 188 laps, it should stay 188 laps.

Seriously, do you only watch the last three laps of a race? Sounds that way, judging by the complaints about the yellow-flag finish.

If you spent $125 to go see Talladega, you saw 185 laps (about three hours) of GREAT racing. The last three laps ended under caution due to an accident, and you were ripped off? It's not like Gordon was running 25th with 10 laps to go, the top 24 cars pitted with six laps to go, and the caution flew with three laps to go, giving Gordon an undeserved victory.

This whole flap was created because Junior got "screwed." Give me a break. No one would care if someone else finished second in this race.

Races have ended under caution since the start of racing. It's part of the game, just like baseball games ending after six innings due to rain.

Live with it. Artificial ways to extend the race should not be devised. You only penalize those who do proper fuel strategy calculations for the actual distance of the race.

                      Take care,

the last few laps are the most exciting laps of a race, ive been to a few races and to be honest it bores me out of my mind until the end of the race because thats when drivers start making their moves, up until then theyre just trying to keep out of a accident and stay in a decent place, so they can actually make it to the end, most exciting part of the freaking race.
