    Thanks for sharing.

I'm one of the biggest fans of Supercross/Motocross on these forums and there is almost zero chance I will be picking this one up.

It's a year or two too late.

I'm playing MXGP on PS4 and cant take this step backwards.

I'm no expert, but this......looks bad. The rider in the first video looks too straight. Even in the turns; he doesn't put his leg down for leverage.

      Meh.

It definitely looks dated. Kind of reminds me of Motocross Madness. If the price is right I may check it out.

I see this is now available on the PS3. Not going to pay $30.00 though. MXGP is so good this can't be anything more then a let down. I'm hoping it will be free in a few months or drastically reduced in price. I'll pay $10.00 for it, maybe.

I picked it up after Xmas from Walmart and saved like a $1.50.

Is it dated/late? Admittedly, yes. It looks about the same as Reflex and if you've moved on to PS4 or XB1, understandably, you're going to like it even less.

What I keep in mind though is that this is a developer being resurrected from the dust (with probably less than half of the people they once had) and a small publisher with a small budget. They worked with what they already had (code, licensing, etc) and released it. What's cool to me is that the developers and publishers are looking to support this game, asking for feedback and planning DLC. I wonder if that support will lead to a next gen release and some incremental improvements.

In my experience (and no offense to anyone) the biggest complainers about the game are people that had ridiculous expectations or thought it should've been a direct sequel to Reflex.

The criticism I agree with is that of the online component. You can't get in a race a good chunk of the time (you sit as a spectator of one or two people sitting at the gate) and if you do, it's buggy to the point that it's unplayable. I hear that the developers are looking to patch this soon though.

All of that said, in my experience this has been a fun, relatively cheap game even if it seems a little old. It does have a very basic career mode that's kind of addictive, customizing your bike and riders is fun and familiar and it's an easy pick up and play title. I've been playing MX titles since MX 2002 and MX vs ATV since Unleashed so I enjoy the familiarity of the series.

I'll admit I'm more of a casual MX/SX guy; I don't ride, but I am a fan of the guys and girls that do. MN is home to Spring Creek MX and its national and we're a long time (but intermittent) stop on the Pro SX tour so I do have plenty of exposure to the sport and know a few amateur/weekend riders. The reason I add that is so you realize what draws me to this game rather than MXGP (which I might try one of these days if I get a chance anyhow).

            I appreciate your thoughts.

My expectations were never very high for the MX vs ATV games you kind of always knew what you were going to get..it was no surprise and I put a ton of hours into them and had a good time with them..I always held out hope one day that they would have a game with the real riders and some real tracks. The JS7 track was amazing and shows what could have been.

I wouldn't drink beer that tastes bad just for the sake of supporting an upstart company and I wont do it for a video game.

For me MXGP means never having to settle for less that what I'm looking for in a MX game. Real Tracks/Real Riders/Sponsors/Etc.

You really should give it a shot.

So who made this game? Is it left over people from Rainbow Studios or the ones that made Alive? Or neither?

Supposedly, it's whoever is left from Rainbow Studios. I can't find much info on them as their webpage is nothing but a giant link to the MXvsATV website. Their Twitter page hasn't been active in 6 years and I can't find a Facebook or any other social media pages.
