I don't understand EA's thinking, why do the console gamers get left out when it comes to the sim aspects of their games? I know.....Money. If someone wants the game more arcade like then put sliders in to make it easier.
The PC version sounds great from what I heard about their F1 title. I wasn't expecting much from EA anyway, but it's dissapointing they have 2 different developers for the same game. I thought it was supposed to be easy to port games over to the X box from the PC version?
Well i'll have to take a look at Heat for the PS2

First things first: Thanks for the interview, Steve.

Next, Martin's answers to the questions about whether Thunder 2003 will be more of a sim for the console versions are evasive as hell, as can be expected.

I read the answers as: "If you want a sim, get the PC version. If you want the same dumbed-down sh*t we've been shoveling to the console players for the last five years, get the console version."

      What do you guys think?

      Take care,

pk, after playing Thunder 2003 quite a bit, you're the first guy I think of when I think "who will hate this".

It will hit its niche perfectly; presentation is off the charts, and every redneck that sees it in Wal Mart will grab it in a heartbeat. The driving model isn't much different than last year's, though.

          Terry:

Thanks for the warning! But I am going to give this game as fair of a shake as I can.

But let's just say my expectations are subterranean.

          Take care,

LOL sorta like I went in.

I actually like the game (unlike last year), and find myself playing it quite a bit...first out of necessity, but now because I've driven it enough to know what to expect. I guess I can lump myself in with that "redneck" crowd, because I am getting into the career mode and presentation more than the driving model. It's nice sometimes to sit down and just hammer down and turn left, ya know?
