Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
Haven't played this in weeks due to my work schedule and flying back to the States for a few weeks. Just fired it up and took a stab at the weekly challenge.. no dice. I raced through the night until the Sun was peaking again and I just couldn't put a whole lap together. It was still a lot of fun.Last edited by AUChase; 01-24-2015, 08:56 AM.Comment

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
I hear you. I'm not terribly good either(nice way of saying I'm bad). It took me quite a few attempts for me to move into the 6th position, which no doubt I'm popped out of by now.Haven't played this in weeks due to my work schedule and flying back to the States for a few weeks. I have no idea how CrazyMallard does it - I think it's his ghost anyway. I have the gas matted, use manual switching, even tried auto but after about 3/4 seconds hes got me by a few car lengths. I simply have no idea how it's done, lol.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
I (Caniac) did have first place for a short spell but CrazyMallard edged me out. I tried again today doing quite a few laps but couldn't beat his time. I try to hit some of the yellow turns without braking but it's tough. I use auto switching as it's hard enough just focusing on the turns. It's a fun challenge and I do like the track."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
Today, I actually matched his ghost, and then passed it for a few turns, only to fail in the final turn. I still put up a good time, but its disappointing to screw up the last turn. I love these challenges in any event.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
Honestly, I'm pretty sure I was lucky in eventually beating Caniac's time, but I think one of the first downhill, right-hand turns is where I felt like I could just barely brake and still make the corner. I'm also only using auto-switching (no way am I coordinated enough to find a good line while also shifting manually). Either way, I'm really enjoying the weekly challenges.Comment

"Lucky" ... "Eventually", haha. You only had 5 attempts, most of the rest of us have 20+, lol. Seriously, seeing your car ghost in front of me every race, especially off the line(which by the way, I'd love to know how you do that, lol) is like watching someone chase a dollar bill on a string down a sidewalk ... they never get any closer!Honestly, I'm pretty sure I was lucky in eventually beating Caniac's time, but I think one of the first downhill, right-hand turns is where I felt like I could just barely brake and still make the corner. Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
Haha fair enough. As for how my ghost car starts in front of you at the beginning of the race, that's only because I passed Caniac's time on my fifth consecutive lap, so I had built up more speed than you have when first starting the challenge.Comment

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
How embarrassing, lol. I didnt know you could do another lap and make a new time, I thought it was a free drive or something, haha. That helps immensely as I wont have to pause and restart after finishing every time now, thanksTB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

No problem, happy to help. Though I guess I won't be in first place for much longer now, haha.Comment

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
I (Caniac) beat CrazyMallards time today but just barely. I didn't think the lap I beat it on was going to be the one as his ghost was ahead a bit. My new time is 1:23.132 which beat CrazyMallards 1:23.171. Took me awhile today to beat it."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: DRIVECLUB Weekly OS Challenge Thread
This is fun, Stormyhog. I just took back the lead in the event (1.22.953). I really hope you don't beat this one, I feel like I've gotten everything I can out of this car, haha.Comment
