Re: Project CARS Available Now For Xbox One & PlayStation 4, Post Your Impressions
I posted a comment on one of the preview videos a couple of months back about this being the racing sim I've been wanting since the first lap I drove on the old Indy 500 game in the early 90s. After a full week with it, I'm in heaven. Pro, AI on 90, helmet cam with the HUD off, and just beautiful race track in front of you! Jumped on last night to do 5 or 10 laps around Bathurst in an LMP1, and 3 hours later I'm still sitting there with this stupid grin, turning laps looking for that extra tenth off my best lap time. I'm hooked!Comment

Hate the situation I'm in right now....my lap times seem almost identical no matter whether I use manual or auto. I want to have a reason to use manual, but if I'm getting the same times on auto there's no point....
I suppose it's good in a way that the auto shifting is good enough that it can match my own.
Leaning towards using ABS as it's really the only thing I have issues with generally - locking up the brakes is really easy to do on a controller. Still haven't seen a reason to change the controller setup though - love the feel of the cars.Comment

Man, I was doing random time trials and vehicles and found a good match.

That car is phenomenal. Feels good that it doesn't spin out constantly.Comment

Anybody using a different FOV than the defaults? What about Speed Sensitivity settings? Not sure if I like this on or off.
Really enjoying this game so far. I think I need to swallow my pride and lower AI difficulty. I am currently at 80 running single custom events and always finish in the bottom 5.PSN: trex187

I remember the older wheels back in the days were tough to get a realistic feel with and I ended up with a lot of sawing back and forth. Does it feel "realistic" when using the T80.
I saw the T80 and its in my price range, but I'm looking more along the lines of the T300RS for features.Comment

Anyone else finding it really hard to be consistent with a controller? Also, I think I can do without the spotter. He always seems to break my concentration.
This lap visually describes why this game is so freakin' good.

Re: Project CARS Available Now For Xbox One & PlayStation 4, Post Your Impressions
I need a driving school course for dummies or something. Times are hard over here, boys. Lol. I did manage to squeeze out a win in one race against the computer, though. Progress.
Online is a blast. I seem to get spun out at some point in every race, but it's good times when you're in the middle of the pack and trying to hold your own. I'm either breaking too early or too late. I've gotta figure this out. Maybe once I start learning more of the tracks, I'll improve. I don't want to play with the racing line on.Comment
