How long do you practice, qualify, and laps? Just curious what settings people use. Right now I do 10 minutes for both practice sessions, 30 minutes for qualifying and 25 Laps for the race. It really tests my concentration.

That's what I do... Except I just put race length at 100 and let the game decide the length of the session. Restarts at no.. AI at 80... Super immersive... Also, remember to have your pit crew put those wet tires on your car in rainy conditions lol... Derp

That's actually sort of related to a question I want to ask (because I assume you're only running with a very small amount of gas to qualify) - Does it seem like tuning your car gives too much of an advantage over the AI? What level would be best for someone who doesn't really want to mess with the car tuning (at least for now)?Comment

After hearing some upsetting news from my X1 friends, I'll be picking up the PS4 version today. Thought my friends were getting, but oh well.
Looking forward to see how bad I truly am at this game.Moderator

for my "main" season races(karts, super karts), I've been doing 100% race length at 90% AI. 10% length @ 80% AI for the other races. Hopefully will be moving on from the karts now though.Comment

Re: Project CARS Available Now For Xbox One & PlayStation 4, Post Your Impressions
I finally got the game on Thursday and am really enjoying it so far. I'm bad, but the novice settings help me a ton. One thing that blows me away is how differently each car handles. I'll pick a car randomly and spin out through most of practice, then do alright in the race.
Any suggestions on cars to help me with handling? Everything feels really sensitive when I try to turn, even with sensitivity turned down.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Have you tried using the settings listed in the best settings thread... The last ones posted I think... They worked wonders for me. I also set my assists to real, and that helped a ton.
On a different note, I couldn't recommend the game to someone who doesn't do the practice sessions. They add so much to the game, to be a able to be able to learn the tracks, and most importantly enjoy them. These sessions will cause you to love these tracks
