N05: EA replied to my complaints about the lack of multitap support

This is really saying something about EA....

Thanks for contacting EASPORTS. This is how you create an account to play an EA game online:

When you come to the screen "Select log in type" you will have a few options.

You can either select Use another EA Account or Create New EA Account.

If you play online with a different EA online game you can use an existing account to play this game online also.

If you have not played either any EA games online before you will want to select Create New EA Account.

Selecting this will bring you to the account setup screen step 1.
First enter in an Account Name of your choice.

Then enter a new password and confirm the password by entering it in again in the next window. "Password must be a minimum of 4 characters long"

After that enter in a valid e-mail address, it must be entered in the same format as the example on the screen. "[email protected]"

Now select yes or no for more information or info sharing.
Then select continue to proceed to Step 2.

Here you can enter in you date of birth and gender which is optional. "You must be at least 13 years old to sign up for the online service."

Next select yes for the member agreement and choose submit.
Once you submit this information it will check if the user name you want is in use.

If it is available it will give you a message that your account has been created.

However if the name is already taken you will be given a list of other names close to the one you want that are available.

Select from one of the available names and your account will be created.
You are now ready to play online.

Oh here I wrote them back and a human being replied this time:

            This is my answer:

Where in my request did I talk about online?

I am talking about the lack of 4 player offline (a feature available in 2003 and 2004) this lack of multitap support was nowhere announced. Ea hid that. I am also talking about the lack of multiple profiles stat tracking. Also another feature that was in every year until now.

            This is what they replied:

            Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. What brand of multi tap are you using? Make sure that your controllers and memory cards are all Sony brand. 3rd party memory cards and controllers may not work properly with this title and are not supported. If this is a Sony multi tap please make sure to reply with the SCPH numbers on each controller, each memory card and the multi tap as well.

If you need further assistance please let me know.

Re: N05: EA replied to my complaints about the lack of multitap support

EA probably outsources it's tech support to a foreign country, like India. The people who are replying to your emails may not even speak the English language well, let alone know how to address your problems.
