Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution Video Interview with Plenty of Gameplay (IGN)
Hmm, maybe it's the IGN stream's fault but this doesn't look like the current-gen leap I was expecting. For the most part it still looks like a PS3 Eutechnyx game. The night lighting is nice though.
It also looks like the default setting is arcade-ish (playing bumper cars with little or no repercussion) with the option to choose more sim-like settings. Hope that works out.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuff -

Definitely interested in watching simulation mode gameplay. Arcade doesn't look appealing. Amazing graphics though.

Very very different on sim settings - I would go so far as to say night and day.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Looks good, but still have cars bouncing off of each other and the wall will no effects of slowing down. More of an arcade than sim.Comment

Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution Video Interview with Plenty of Gameplay (IGN)
Looks alright. Looks like fun. Odd that there was no option to qualify or anything before that "race" mode race. I didn't like how glued the AI cars seem to the track, or how there's no slowdown by anyone when contact is made. I get that this isn't in the sim mode settings, so that has alot to do with it, but hopefully there's customization between the two modes of arcade and sim and it's not just one or the other. I'm sure there's some flexibility there.
Visually, I'm not sure what to think. It seems a bit blah for a next gen title. I was expecting to be wowed more, like Forza 6, or F1 racing from Codies. It just looks... blah. Hopefully it's just a bad feed or something, it just looks bright and washed out or something like that. As someone said previously, kind of like the old visuals from the previous gen games.
My last complaint... we still have to wait until Septemberlol
The career mode, and the customization of your driver is pretty cool. Glad to have something like that. It looks like it's going to be fun to play. It'll be nice to have a nascar game back again. Excited to see more of it as we head towards september.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution Video Interview with Plenty of Gameplay (IGN)
I like racing games that focus on one type of racing instead of throwing zillions of cars at you. Still this game needs to prove it has some realism to earn my money. I stopped watching NASCAR years ago but I would love a well made NASCAR game since I feel the sport would make for a fun game.
I can live with the graphics. They are not bad looking and I would rather them not be perfect as long as the racing is done really well. I really hope the following elements are included.
The AI needs to be able to make mistakes and can bring out yellows on their own.
Damage needs to happen and needs to have an impact on performance. I don't want big crashes where cars stay in perfect condition.
Mechanical fails for both cpu cars and the human controlled car. I could live without this one but it would be a huge plus.Comment

Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution Video Interview with Plenty of Gameplay (IGN)
I expected to be a little more blown away with the graphics, so that was a little bit of a letdown. That being said, I'm sure it'll look great. Sometimes those videos don't do the games much justice.
I'm not a crazy hardcore racing gamer, so it doesn't have to be 100% sim for me to enjoy it. If it gets solid reviews and looks fun, I think I'll dive in and give it a shot! I'm definitely going to be following the news.Comment

I've been waiting a long time for a sim Nascar game to come to the PS4. Holding high hopes that this is it.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

God I hope the wrecks look good. Such an immersion killer when it looks like blocks banging into each other, also nice looking AI wrecks is a must too.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers
