ToughJuice, I agree.  Absent the formal review, this looks like the easiest decision to purchase in years when it comes to a racing game.  For the record, LOVE Wreckfest; my brother got Nascar Heat 4..eh...same old game, slightly better paintjob.

Yup , Codemasters + Racing game = day one purchase. Looks great.

Proof of different strokes for different folks. I also love Wreckfest, but Nascar Heat is about as different under the hood as a racing game can get. Sure, it's turning in circles which turns a lot of people off right away, but wow...not even close to the same old game.

GRID, however...I still see the same handling model where cars have that "center pivot" point. Overdrive it and you sharply go from on-rails-perfectly-under-control into a 4-wheel-drift-slide, without it really providing information to the player on why. I'm definitely not asking it to be a sim, as there is clearly a market for that type of game.

But the trailers, screenshots...everything seems to be presented like a Hollywood Summer Blockbuster. All production with not a lot of substance. I love me some racing games, but clearly a different type.

I just love that the market has so many DIFFERENT types of racing games nowadays that everybody can be satisfied!

If I didn't like GRID on the XBox 360, it would probably be so that I would like it on the XBox One X. The "center pivot" handling of the cars in GRID, along with a dependence on taking out other drivers, and vice versa, is what doesn't float my boat about it. I can see where it would be fun, but I just can't embrace the blend of mostly arcade and slightly simulation aspects of this game.... it looks fantastic in screen shots though!
