Fox Sports did a fantastic job with this today. The yellows were out in abundance, but it was understandable. The last three laps were epic, especially through last one between Hamlin and Jr.!

Yeah was a great race at the end. Hopefully next week will be a little cleaner, but after that they may end up going to Bristol... not sure how that is going to work with these rookies.

It ended up being a great race at the end. It was slightly worse because of so many cautions but the presentation was fantastic.

The World of Outlaws is apparently doing a race on Wednesday this week but it's behind the DirtVision paywall. I was mildly disappointed about that.

It was a hot mess with caution after caution. Quick reminder as to why I opt not to do iRacing ovals. BTW - They should allow Jimmy Johnson to use driving aids.

NASCAR Esports Sunday on FS1 hit 903,000 total viewers (297,000 18-59). 9K Avg. viewers online (via @StreamHatchet)

This would make it the highest rated esports TV program ever (2nd was Mortal Kombat on The CW in 2016 at 770,000).

Agreed. It was so well presented, and the learning curve was definitely there for the uninitiated. But those last several laps were as good as anything you'd see real or virtual.

I'd love to see them allow spotters, like you can in an actual iRacing race. I think that would be of at least some help in wreck management.

Most of them did have human spotters at the front. Jimmie didn't even have his in-game spotter on, so that didn't help with how bad things for going for him. I am sure sponsors and teams will be putting more effort into it this week now that the ratings are there.

Yeah I found out later that they did have spotters...just everyone has to get used to netcode spacing between the cars and the feel of it. I expect we'll see better this weekend overall.

I didn't watch last week, but am watching this week's race from Texas. This is pretty cool to watch, enjoying how the commentary is treating it like a real race and honestly the graphics make you think it's a real race.

The quality of driving was much better this week, overall. I think iracing relaxed some yellow flag calls in this race also. I saw at least three incidents that should have brought out a yellow IRL, but I'm glad they didn't. The quality of announcing is first rate. Jeff, Mike, and Larry have educated themselves enough about iracing to speak competently about it. They also treat it seriously and call it just like they would a real race. Not a bad finish on this one either. NASCAR and FOX have hit a home run with this!

Yeah some of the shots are close to realistic. It looked good, but then you see stuff that isn't being rendered and movements not being smooth.

Definitely looks like they allowed it to continue some. I wonder if they continue with this going forward when regular racing is back? They could even do it at the track. Use it to set qualifying order for rain outs.
