Do drivers still change teams too often ? Do you still max out your team's development too quickly so that your team is this the best within a season and your teammate is the fastest driver around.

F12019 improved ?
Just wondering what people's opinion of the game is now. Has it improved with the latest patches ?

IMO the game is very good. I don't see any major issue with it. -

I've loved it since the day it was released. It had some issues, sure, but it's seen 14 or 15 patches if im not mistaken that's brought it to a good place. Online, I guess if you ask those online players
Driver transfers got a patch that gave the user the option to have them anytime during the season, or in the offseason only. They still can move around quite a bit in the offseason. I find that it typically ties to however they've rated the drivers and how the teams currently are in the performance ratings inside of the career mode. Example: If Racing Point develops quickly towards the top, you'll likely see Stroll leave RP and drop down to a lower rated team like Williams. where one of those higher rated drivers will move up to higher teams. That's a bit odd to me given the fact that as long as Stroll's dad owns RP, he likely has a seat there, but hey... its' a video game. You can however just leave it off, then they stay with their current teams. You can also change the driver transfer setting at any time during your career mode. So after year 1 if you like the grid changes, you can turn transfers off and they stay. As the team order fluctuates through the years you'll see drivers changing.
As for development. That's my biggest beef with career mode. When you start the season the team order you see is how it will eventually end when all teams are maxed out development wise. The nice thing there though, you'll constantly get regulation changes that always press the big reset button. I'm in year 7 in one of my careers right now. I'm driving for Ferrari, I'm maxed out on all 4 development areas. Regulation changes just got annouced for 3 of the 4 departments. Basically a brand new car. Whatever you (and the CPU teams) don't adapt for next year before the season ends result in upgrades required the following year. So while I might be the #2 team in the order now, if I don't upgrade anything for my engine, I'll find myself far down the list when the new season comes around. Year 7 for me was mostly every team maxed out within 4 races. The big regulation changes though are going to for sure mix that up a bit the following year.
The development problem though, is the gap between Red Bull & Mercedes when you start career with underperforming cars will be the exact same gap in car performance when you're both maxed out. Can you take Williams from 10 to 1. Sure, if you max everything out before Red Bull does. But once Redbull maxes out, you'll be the same amount behind again, but just at a higher performance level. In a nutshell, when all teams are maxed out, Williams is still far behind the #1 team. That to me, ruins the mode. IF i drive for Williams, I want to bring them to the top again, not just the preconceived MAX that Codemasters imposed on them. I dont know if that's a decision Codemasters made, or if F1 or the teams have any say in it. Either way, to me, that's an issue. There's a max rating cap of say 1000 for the top team, but the max Williams can ever hit is 800. I just made those numbers up to show what I mean.
Either way the game looks great, sounds great, plays great Its worth every penny IMOMiami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment
