No people get suspended for much less. It's just the new "pro guy that got suspended this month" happens a lot. Scott Speed was suspended for wrecking people, I think Max Verstappen has been warned a few times.

Why do video games bring out the ugliest in people when they get mad? I've seen plenty of guys get pissed in-person while playing actual sports on courts or fields and they never use the kind of language gamers use when something doesn't go their way. It's the main reason I don't play games online. The community is horrendous and filled with people who quit like children with fragile egos and/or ones who throw out the most hate-filled speech I've ever encountered.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kyle Larson was fired Tuesday by Chip Ganassi Racing, completing a stunning downfall for the budding NASCAR star who uttered a racial slur during a live-streamed virtual race and then watched nearly every one of his sponsors drop him.

The 27-year-old Larson, in his seventh Cup season with Ganassi and considered the top free agent in NASCAR just three days ago, is now out of a job in what could ultimately be an eight-figure blunder.

“After much consideration, Chip Ganassi Racing has determined that it will end its relationship with driver Kyle Larson,” Ganassi said. “As we said before, the comments that Kyle made were both offensive and unacceptable especially given the values of our organization. As we continued to evaluate the situation with all the relevant parties, it became obvious that this was the only appropriate course of action to take.”

He wasn't mad, he was trying to get his spotters attention, and said what he said for who knows what reason, but was on the public channel instead of his personal channel. At least know the facts before you try to generalize everything to fit your view points.

It was a stupid mistake and there is no place for what was said.

My fear here is that with what happened with this incident and the fallout Wallace got the week before for quitting these guys will start avoiding online racing or be advised to avoid it in some cases.
