No pit stops anymore. Article isn't exactly reassuring. Might as well play GT Sport.

So, wait, I won't be forced to spend hours on end grease monkeying under the virtual hood?
I won't ever catch myself wondering if this is a game, or an automotive engineering textbook?
This is going to be a racing game where I can, of all things, just get behind the wheel, and go?
      Where do I sign up?

While I can understand the need to make car tuning more accessible... to not even have an option to toggle on/off but instead complete removal of pitstops... shocking..

Basically makes their weather system setup a bit of a joke..

PC3 is not a sim or arcade. It's a toy. This will be one of those "free to download" games by the end of year.

Sounds encouraging to me, I really like PC2 but inevitably got tired of all of the options and somewhat mundane approach to career mode. Give it a chance.

Just catching up on all of the info revealed in the last week or or 2.

Oh boy. Well, at least PC2 still exists. It's pretty clear now why there wasn't a WMD for this one. For those who don't know, the game's title was originally a play-on-words acronym that stood for "Community Assisted Race Simulator". I'm not sure any of that applies anymore.

2020 delivers yet another crushing body blow.

I have badly missed having the kind of racing game that I enjoy this entire console generation, not having had one since GT6 came out on the PS3 seven years ago. I've been keeping an eye on this title, but I think that I'm going to hold off, and hopefully GT7 will come out next year. Fingers crossed.

In PC2, you could fill gas tank, thus avoiding pit stops, and tire wear isn't really an issue unless it's a long race. And despite what some people think, there is absolutely no reason to "tinker" with set ups. You could just use the pre-built one. If you are an experienced enough driver to know that a pre-built set up isn't working for you, then you should be experienced enough to fix the problem. PC3 is a big F-YOU to an entire community of drivers!!

I should have grabbed PC2 when it was on sale on Steam in July. Everything about PC3 is screaming "wait for impressions."

I've been playing Forza Horizon 4, but its not quite scratching the itch. Great game, but its too arcadish for me to really want to spend a lot of time in the career mode. Plus, as weird as this sounds, an open world hub for a racing game isn't really something I enjoy. I have Dirt Rally 2.0 and that's fantastic for a more focused and harder race, but I really miss playing Forza from the Xbox/Xbox360 days.

You need to try F1 2020. I had the same sentiments as you about Forza. F1’s career mode is arguably the best RPG of any sports game I’ve ever played.

So having spent some time looking around to see if custom championships were confirmed (They're not as far as I can see!), Not sure if I missed this earlier but just realized they have also removed qualifying and you start at the back of the grid for every career race!!!
How they actually have the Gall to label this as a Project Cars title is quite frankly absurd.
WTH is this nonsense, final nail in the coffin....I'm out!!

Did you ever play PC 1 or 2? Because you could do exactly that in both games. Get behind the wheel and go. The difference is the other options were there if you wanted to use them.

I think it's actually the same as Grid based on videos, you have the option to qualify pre-race or jump in at the back of the Grid.
