Decent article. But I think it misses the biggest feature that probably led to the majority of the votes.

The article fails to mention the My Career mode. A first in F1 racing where licensing has been a strict line that nobody has been able to cross. We get to actually create, manage and drive our very own F1 Team. With a whole suite of features from hiring a second driver, to managing all of the departments of your team including resource management as well as development of your car. Adding to this actual fictional sponsors and adding them to your car.

For another first in F1. We have Driver transfers and retirements. Managing all of this can be a challenge and adds so much to a Franchise Mode that is just incredible. No other F1 game has ever gone to this depth in a career mode.

The article also fails to mention the inclusion of F2 cars and drivers as well as adding the full schedule to the game.

All of this adds of course to the very real possibility of this being the last "great" F1 game before EA destroys it with Ultimate Team and Micro Transactions. LOL sorry couldn't resist getting in a I hate EA finisher.

Pretty much agree with all of the above. F12020 has all the bells and whistles, presentation, good career mode, accessibility and a decent enough experience on the track which is easy to see why the majority would gravitate towards it.

For me though it is all about the on track experience and ACC wins this hands down. Handling, Physics and sounds are far superior and what keeps me coming back for'just 1 more lap' before bed...
Flip side is the presentation, replays are lacking and FPS at some tracks (Spa Eau Rouge) can be absymal.

As is so common with many sports games,if you could take the best from one and add to the other you'd damn near have the perfect game!

With EA getting their grubby paws on the F1 game we are very likely to see changes coming down the pipe and not for the good (Locked tracks ala 2002 anyone......

I am on console so I have never really dived into ACC. But I have heard good things. If I ever build another rig and go back into PC gaming I would love to get involved in this community.

But for right now, being an F1 fan it really doesn't get much better than this years game. I can be very happy with this for many years to come as with the "My Career" the replay value is pretty high. Especially now with Driver transfers and retirements.

I'm on ps4 myself hence the comment about FPS not experienced on PC.
You should definitely look at snagging a copy.
It's certainly not as accessible as F1 and can lead to some frustrating times early on but when it clicks the driving experience is unmatched imo

I do realize that it is on console. But I prefer F1 with its career mode. I have never really enjoyed the Super Sports/Hyper Car kind of thing on console. If I was going to get involved in all of that I would want a wheel and peddle set up etc. Though to be honest if I had a great gaming rig and a nice wheel set up I would probably just do F anyway. Project Cars, Forza etc have always just been "hobby" racers for me. Usually get bored with the car collecting career modes and such. I am sure it is a great experience but it is not really top of my list.

@Bulit if you move up to the next gen, ACC plays like a beast. The sound the on track action is great. Now I had this game on Xbox one x it was a mess, but on my series x this game comes alive. This game is raw racing no car collecting, just racing. Racing that very technical with lots of tuning or just jumping in and racing like I like to do.

Looks like Imola was added to the real life calendar with Portugal expected to follow.

Let's hope EA don't do a money grab for these in F12021...
