I bought the new MXGP a month ago. I don't think I can justify buying both but I probably should have waited as Supercross interests me more. How would you compare the 2? Graphically the same? Physics the same?

    Which did you enjoy more?

The learning curve is steep on MESX4...but the game looks beautiful on the PS5 and the physics are about on par. IMO if you don't mind a steep level of difficulty(even for veterans of the series)I would go with MESX4

I'm still stuck on the PS4 due to my inability to locate a PS5 for retail.

That being said I spent a few minutes with the game this AM before work and it looks fantastic even on my PS4 pro and I like the feel of the bike so far.

If you could - let me the what you think about the AI difficulty...if you have time. I struggled with it and have seen many reviews say the same

I've ran a few races now and here's how it went.

One race I missed the main.

Then the next race I ran the full practice session and actually was P1 after hitting everything in rhythm.

Pulled the hole shot on the heat race and went down on the first lap and hung around 5 to 8 place until the last lap when I proceeded to fall again and drop to tenth.

Went to LCQ pulled the hole shot again and actually ended up P2.

Went to the main and fell a couple times and ended up P18 when it was all said and done.

I honestly like the fact that you have a limit on rewinds it's going to force me to be better.

It's feeling like a much steeper challenge this time out.

I can run with them if I run clean laps in rhythm. Tough to do that lap after lap so far

Exactly what I saw - you turn clean laps...you can hang. Running clean laps is tough as hell...often. I turned rewinds off at the start so not to tempt me.

Are you seeing any slow down like in MXGP 20? That issue has still not been resolved and it has soured me on Milestone. I passed on the $80.00 version of the game because of it and I'm still not sure if I'll get the regular version tomorrow.

You guys know how much I love these games and this sport so should I get it or wait a few months for a sale? The thing that has me hesitating is Milestone has been told about the slowdown issue during the rain in MXGP 20 on facebook by several people , yet they don't seem to care. Really bumming me out.

I know your love for this genre...and I would say jump on it. The AI is much more competitive and the game requires consistency on a level this franchise has never seen. Also...I’m playing on the PS5 and have seen no sign of slow down even with 22 riders bunched together and dirt particles flying everywhere

I have not noticed any of the frame rate stuff but to be fair I have not ran a rain event yet.

I deleted my earlier post because I only had a couple hours in with the game and thought maybe I was being to harsh , I wasn't. I've spent much more time with it and my opinion is this is the worst motocross / supercross / dirt bike game I've ever played. It's pure trash. The A.I. is broken , all they do is take you out all race long. I can't believe it's this bad , 3 was so good. Man what a shame, I wish I could get a refund.

I'm a bit of a novice...I'm terrible at these supercross games but keep buying them anyway. I haven't played Supercross 4 yet, but I have some thoughts based on previous games.

Because I'm so bad I always play the AI on easy mode. In Milestone bike games the AI is broken because easy mode is the same as hard mode. Except when you use a custom track, then the AI settings work "as intended." This was also the case in Supercross 3. Using custom tracks the easy AI is easy and the hard AI is hard, etc. On a national track, I can hardly keep up the with the AI on easy. But on a custom track, I pull away from the pack after the first lap.

Also, in Ride 4, the AI is constantly ramming the user off the road. I thought they would have patched this by now but it is still not fixed. Sounds like the same AI from Ride 4 was put in Supercross 4.

The broken difficulty thing makes sense based on the fact I can barely make the main on very easy.

I may bump up the level one and see what happens.

                            Sorry to hear that.

I have to admit I'm getting frustrated with the AI as well this is beyond learning curve stuff here.

I"m going to mess with the skill levels and also back off of advanced physics to see if one of those things make it better until it can possibly be patched.

Well I gave it a few more shots. No dice , this game is garbage. I wondered how long it would take for these games to turn to crap after THQ bought Milestone, we have the answer, 2 years. I deleted the game. Going to contact Sony and see if I can get a refund. Doubt I will but might as well try.
