          Looks like the patch helped.

I jumped in and ran a couple quick races.

Ended up on the podium in both races.

Re: Monster Energy Supercross 4 Review - Next-Gen Positives Mixed With Old-Gen Issues

I finished my 250 East Rookie season. It is better since the patch but only if you're running up front. Once I dropped back around 8th place or further it was A.I. mayhem again. I ended up finishing in 7th place so I didn't make the pro's , on to the 250 west it is.

I'm not a game programmer but I can describe the A.I. issue like this: In GT Sport or Project Cars 2 or even older Milestone MX/SX games when the A.I. approaches me on the track they are aware that I am there and they pass me cleanly or slow down to avoid hitting me. In SX 4 if I crash or mess up a bit and fall back in the pack it's as if the A.I. doesn't know I exist on the track and they just plow , ram , bump ,and knock me all over the place. It's very very frustrating.

As I said the top 5 to 7 riders seem to ride clean , I've had battles with them passing back and forth cleanly but 8th or worse it's a different story. Why are the front few A.I. riders ok but the rest a mess is what I don't understand.

I like the game , tracks are great , bikes are great , I'm hoping they can clean up the A.I. a bit more. Don't make them easy , make them smart.

UPDATE: I copied and pasted this exact post on the games facebook page. They read it and thanked me for the feedback. hopefully they will look futher into the A.I.'s behavior.

I am starting a second rookie season as well.

Fell short in the east now going to the west.

I feel like I should be able to hit top 3 now that I have all the rookie attributes maxed out to start the season.

Should have a ton of points built up by the time I unlock pro.

Also was FINALLY able to order a PS5 today.

Best Buy drop pick up around the 7th.

Congrats on the PS5 score. I figured by now thay would have some in stores but I figured wrong. I'm having no luck online. Every time I get in the line/que and when I go to buy it's always out of stock. Guess I'm to slow lol.

Thanks I followed site supply on twitter turned notifications on and that was a huge help.

The other reason I scored one was due to the fact these have to be physically picked up from your local best buy store with photo id/etc.

I'm not happy that milestone is charging full price for the PS5 versions of the motocross games vs say a 10 dollar upgrade fee.

They released some 2 stroke bikes and the 2020 Indy track. I bought it. Track is nice.

I grabbed it as well its included with the special edition.

                        That Indy track is fun.

I ran some time attack laps with the two stroke. I could almost smell it.

Still haven't picked this one up yet out of fear of the rabid AI. Ride 4 AI is bullish on "very easy" and the only way to avoid the mayhem is to get out ahead of the pack in the first 10 seconds of the race and stay ahead.

Itching to play this version but wondering if anyone has anymore thoughts on the AI adjustments made by Milestone.

                          Thanks in advance!

The way it stands for me at this point is like you mentioned in Ride 4, if I get a good start an I'm in the top 5 the A.I. isn't bad. If I make a mistake and fall back in the pack it's mayhem. This is on Easy and Medium difficulty settings in career mode. ( I have yet to make it to the Pro section of career , I'm in first place now so hopefully I can hang on and get up to the 450 class)

The tweaking they have done is an improvement but I feel it still needs adjusting. One more thing to mention this game is more difficult then the others because you really need to know every section of every track , especially on a 250. There are just some triples you can't make so you need to decide the smoothest way to get through certain sections. Much more realistic. Once you have this burnt into your memory the game gets better.

At times it's frustrating , but the challenge is great.

Bought the ps5 version last night.

The feedback in the throttle and break is pretty cool.

Visually I notice my rider getting dirty as I race.

Not saying it's worth the full price to buy it again but the feedback is pretty darn cool.

I almost felt like I had arm pump at the end of the race..lol

All kidding aside its awesome that you can really feel in your hands the tire spin and the impact of the breaking into the corners...game changer.

Well I made it to the Pro's , 450 class. I had to play on easy to get there , that should give you all an idea of how difficult this game can be. I've put in countless hours on all past versions of MXGP and the Supercross games , so having to go it on easy was an eye opener. I'm moving up to medium for my 450 season , I'll probably get my butt kicked.
