Solid list! Been doing a ton of ACC and iRacing lately though so not much time for anything else.

I really am waiting ACC next-gen patch on late February, just bought game on Christmas sale. Best racing simulator on consoles. Also GT7 is on my radar, but maybe buy that later.

Hopefully new Forza Motorsport can bring more new stuff and progression to racing games genre than what GT7 is promising.

We are truly in the golden-age of driving games. I can't wait for Grid Legends, Gran Turismo, and F1 2022 to come out.

Recently I've been giving strong consideration to buying a racing wheel to upgrade my driving game experience. Any suggestions for a good one that won't break the bank, but will still feel like it's transforming the gaming experience itself? This is for a PS5, btw. Not looking for a full rig, but I also don't want something dinky that doesn't feel worthwhile. Any thoughts?

An article on the subject would be fantastic, btw. A listing/ranking of the various options with pros/cons would be so helpful.

Good list. I really enjoyed Grid 2019 and Lends adding depth and variety to the single player is all I wanted.

Curious how GT7 runs on PS4 (no plans for a PS5) and if racing against the AI is any better than in the previous GT games.

Also excited to see whatever FM8 ends up being. And since it'll be day one on GamePass I'll be checking it out no matter what.

Not gonna lie, Grid Legends is looking IMPRESSIVE.

As for GT7...well...that's going to depend, HEAVILY, on how much fun it is.  There have been some versions of GT where I wasn't quite sure whether I was playing a video game, or slogging through an interactive automotive engineering textbook.  Less track time because of too much virtual grease monkeying, not fun.  Mandatory license tests (for offline solo, no less) with nitpicky Bronze cutoffs, not fun.  Details are all well and good, but details for details' sake as a gatekeep, not fun.  There are more than enough racers on the market right now, which let offline soloists race their way, right away; if GT7 sticks to its guns and is overly frequent with its "no soup for you" moments, fuhgeddaboudit.

Bob, GREAT article and list my friend

After watching some recaps of the new F1 cars testing at Barcelona, I'm BEYOND excited for the new F1 game this year. Really hoping the gameplay will reflect the massive changes to the cars, especially with the aero, and aero for following cars.

Gran Turismo is pre-ordered on my PS5 already. Just bring it!

I like ACC on my PC/sim rig, but I just might have to check it out on the console w/the next-gen enhancements just releasing this month.

NASCAR....well, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. That was a rough debut last year, let's see if they can take some good steps forward this year, and again, with the new cars there's some higher interest there.

As long as Motorsport Games is in charge of NASCAR games, I wouldn’t be too excited. I got the legend edition for 30 dollars and still feel ripped off. So many basic things are either missing or totally wrong. Simple things like looking in front of the car are messed up.

I’d LOVE to hear Codemasters and EA were doing a NASCAR game.
