Has anyone in this year’s version or the last used the automated option for upgrades, research etc. in career mode. Wanted to see if that option is a viable way to play the career mode

Big fan of this series and definitely a nice feel for the new cars this year, however the career mode is a 100% carbon copy of 2021, right down to the opening cut scenes.

A little underwhelmed, this doesn't feel like a series in need of annual releases, but hey they got my $76 again so I guess what do I know.

They improved hdr for pc monitors it seems quite a bit. It was so bad I had it off in previous versions. Always looked pretty good on my 4k tv though.

Agreed w/ GoBlue, they could have done a bit more with career. f1 The Life is seriously pointless, but having said that, this game is spectacular and everyone needs to buy it. The cars feel night and day different to last year (as they should) and the game looks and sounds incredible.

One nitpick on PS5... how are voice controls still not available? I know last year it was some sort of security flaw, but it's a bummer that all the other versions of the game allow voice control and the PS5 version does not. How is this an issue on PS5 , but not PS4?

So I DL EA Early access, power up the game and it says I have 9h48min left of trial time for the game. However when I try to play it loads then I get a alert saying I have 0time left for the trial. I just DL the trial last night. Anyone having this issue?

Re: F1 22 Review - Excelling on a Yearly Basis

Out of the gate I need to point out that I am somewhat new to F1 racing and the game. I got into F1 over the past few years, as I suspect many others did as well, thanks to the fabulous Netflix series. So, with that said, I've been watching and playing F1 for a whopping four years now, so please take what I have to say with that in mind.

I should also note that I play on PS5 with a wheel and pedals, steering assist - off, braking assist - off, traction control - off. anti-lock brakes - off.

The very first thing I noticed about F1 22 is how incredibly well-controlled the new cars are. It's almost to the point that it's too easy. I rarely spinout or lose control of my car, regardless of track or tire conditions, as compared to previous years. I'm not looking for this game to be overly challenging, but I would like it to be slightly more so for those of us who would like a more sim-like experience.

For example, I just completed a 29 lap race in Melbourne with light rain falling. The track was fairly wet, not soaked, so in previous years I would have had to have used intermediates, but this year I was able to run it with slicks the whole time (medium then softs) with no problem. I didn't spinout or slide off the track once.

I also would have love to have seen a story mode like Braking Point return. The F1 Life mode is a complete waste of time. I sincerely hope they ditch that next year and bring back a good single-player story mode again.

I do enjoy the new broadcast options for the formation lap, pit stops, and safety car laps.

With all of that said, as usual this year's F1 is a fantastic game that I'm sure I'll enjoy immensely over the coming months.
