Did they expect strong sales to continue when they dropped support for the game after two months?!? I'm a little surprised this wasn't discussed in your article.

It wasn't need to be discussed since they clarified what the said the very next day.

They have provided patches since then, including the latest update that was released on December 15.

I feel like the post you referenced is a backpedal and trying to "save face", which I'm not sure worked. In the same thread, I think this post sums it up nicely: https://old.reddit.com/r/F1Manager/c...fying/iu50bsj/. Regardless, I think the initial announcement that clearly states support would be minimal caused a lot of people, myself included, to remove it from my wishlist, forget about the game, and return to Motorsport Manager.

I think the game has a lot of potential, but a few terrible missteps ruined this year's iteration. Now next year's game will have to go above and beyond.

Re: F1 Manager 2022 Sales Fall Below Expectations

I am sad to hear about the failure of the sales expectations. I hope they reach their sales expectations in F1 Manager 2023. I personally love the game. I think as a 1st game it's an excellent game. It has some negative sides but generally it's mostly positive. It's fun to play which is the most important aspect of any game for me. Challenging & fun.

They came up with balance changes and etc., i don't know they could've added to the game, since it's going to be a yearly released title not a live service game they can't do more than adding simple stuff or balance changes. So I certainly disagreee with this point"when they dropped support for the game after two months?!?" from Cod. What did you expect really? What do you want them to add? The new game is due out in 7 months. Think it as a yearly NBA 2K or Fifa game. You can only add minor things to the game.
