    f1 2022 questions

I am a complete noob to racing games so have two questions

1- Can I not do a career mode as one of the famous guys and not a guy I create? if so how?

2- Back long time ago nascar had a feature where if you feel way behing it speed you up so you could catch up. Any setting in this game for that?

    1. Career, no. The only way to do this would be setup a grand prix season, then you can drive with whatever driver you want, but only for that season. But this isn't career, there's no car progression or driver moves or anything like this

    2. Not that I'm aware of. Auto-ERS and Auto-DRS might help with this if your not familiar with the systems, but there is no "Catch-up" system in place. AI in F1 22 is inconsistent at best so it usually comes to finding a good percentage for each individual track. For example, 50% at Bahrain and I'll usually finish mid-pack, but 50% at Australia I'm a full 3 seconds faster then second place, so there's a lot of trial and error involved.

F1 22 added a dynamic AI feature but it’s only available on “casual” mode, a tailored experience which locks most assists to on. If you want to customize your experience and change every setting on “standard” mode, unfortunately the dynamic AI isn’t available.
