Re: Looking for recommendations for a racing game
Depends on platform and what type of racing you like. For example if Xbox/pc and like arcade racers Forza Horizon I think is good.
If you like open wheel simulation, the F1 series is good. Latest is F1 23. But depending on settings can have a high learning curve.
The only oval racer I’d recommend is World Of Outlaws Dirt Racing.

Re: Looking for recommendations for a racing game
Obviously depends what you're looking for.
I really love Grid Legends which is an arcade closed circuit racer with a big variety of car classes and event types.
Dirt 5 is also a fun arcade off-road game.
You really can't go wrong with the Forza Horizon games.
For specific irl series I enjoyed the World of Outlaws game, Nascar Heat 4/5, and WRC Generations. Your mileage may vary with those depending on how much you're into those particular series.
Burnout Paradise Remastered is a classic with upgraded resolution and all the DLC.
Wreckfest is also a very good racer under all the mayhem.
I forgot Hot Wheels Unleashed. Another very fun arcade racer. Looks great and perfect if you love Hot Wheels.

If World of Outlaws is an upgrade I might try it. F1 looks like a deep game and that might be what I enjoy.≡Comment

Re: Looking for recommendations for a racing game
You may want to narrow down what you're looking for in a racing game.
Perfectly realistic handling and mechanics? Mario Racing? Racing with a storyline like the PS2 NFS games? Turbo charged action games? Real cars but in fictional tracks in real cities, F1, NASCAR?...Comment

Re: Looking for recommendations for a racing game
GT3/4 cars only and not a good career mode but Assetto Corsa Competizione is by far the most realistic simulation game available on console imo.
Disclaimer: It takes weeks of practice before it 'clicks' but when it does...Last edited by jr86; 05-23-2023, 02:47 PM.Comment
