lol. The one good thing they've done in awhile and they revert it back. This game is incredibly frustrating. Looks beautiful, plays beautiful, but these decisions make no sense. Just give us more ways to earn credits. As an offline player, it is painfully boring filling up the marathon miles, just to get a 5K reward and then... Do nothing for a week while we wait for the weekly challenges to reset?

It's actually impressive what they pulled off. I would rather go hotlap 10 laps of Barcelona in literally any other game for no rewards then do 10 laps of Barcelona in Gt7 for a pittance of a payout, that's how un-rewarding this game feels

There is Tons and tons of races to make credit coins.

Gran turismo is not meant to own everything in one day, most gamers in this day and age what it all day 1, and don't wanna really dig deep and earn/playing the game.

Yeah there was a coin glitch, but most people probably couldn't really take advantage of it, why?

Well you had to have all gold on one of the circuit challenges and that is not an easy challenge.

The circuit challenges alone are monsterous achievement alone, there are several races in world circuit that are extremely fun to race and give huge payouts with no limitations on how many times you can play.

The Cafe is another great car collector mode, maybe some have finished this, but I'm still collecting cars, the game is massive and imo with plenty of content to play continuously.

There are multiple campaign challenges, I mean I can go on and on, take the game off easy, drive manual, put the settings on professional.

Challenge yourself gran turismo is hands down my favorite racing game, and I haven't even scratched the surface.

Get out there on the track and grind that pavement.

I wish they'd patch custom races to make the AI not suck after the 4-5 lap mark. That'd be great. I know this is a driving simulator and not a racing simulator, but still.

          1. There aren't actually, this is the lowest amount in any GT game I can remember besides Sport. I've completed every race available multiple times, they aren't fun. This could've been mitigated by re-introducing cups ala GT4, but they didn't

          2. I'm not asking to own everything in one day. I'm asking for ways to earn credits to even have a chance of owning some things. Currently, there is a 10 MILLION credit Porsche in the legend dealership. I won't even calculate how long it would take to do doing normal races, as they net you somewhere between 50K-150K per race, so lets just look at the 1 Million credit race at spa. It would take, roughly, 10 hours of grinding this race to afford that one car (And you would have to do it quick, since the legend cars are time limited, because of course they are). Since most people have jobs and lives to take care of, spending 10 hours doing the same race over and over again isn't going to be done by 95% of the player base (And isn't fun in the slightest, hence why every guide for GT7has a section for JUST earning credits while AFK). PD knows this, that's why they offer you the ability to pay real money (which would be 100$ of real life money just to acquire the Porsche mentioned before). This isn't some grand scheme to make you feel like you "Worked" for the car, it's one of the oldest tricks in the books to just frustrate the consumer into spending more money as opposed to boring themselves. (See - Every sports game released since 2009)

          3. Circuit challenges were fun, I've competed all of them a year ago and have no desire to go back and play them. To each their own, but replaying these just for credits is not what I consider "fun", that's what I consider "a grind", the whole issue I take with the game

          4. The cafe was one of the worst additions lmao. It was a joke of a "career" mode that did nothing. Not sure how you'd even come to this conclusion, it's long been established they dropped the ball with the Cafe since day 1

          5. Not sure what this entails... I already drive full manual with a wheel and pedal setup? The AI certainly doesn't provide any sort of challenge, SOPHY is a good addition, just needs to be implemented across the board and the difficulty raised back up to what it was during the preview, but running the same events/races against lackluster AI in the same vehicles is, once again, just a grind and grift that's designed to frustrate the consumer and lead to them spending even more money on an already 100$ game

PD are not dumb, this Spec II update proves that they knew from Day 1 they were not providing enough credits, but now that the sales have dried up, it's time to open the floodgates. GT4 is still one of the greatest racing games of all time, but they knew exactly what they were doing when they created this and, frankly, have lost a lot of support from long time GT fans that would have expected them to return to their roots with GT7, as opposed to it feeling like a glorified add-on to Sport

I'm gone agree to disagree to most of this, because everyone doesn't play the way you do, or feel the way you do about this game.

You don't like the way the game is? Tough. Guess what? all of gaming is either already in full bloom in this direction or headed this way.

Any multiplayer format game will have this, so options I see for you, either accept it, don't play it, or open up your wallet and buy what you want, since you seem to not have the time to put into the game a year later... you been at it a year with your steering wheel and your pedals? I just got the game 3 months ago...big difference.

I know a couple regular youtube streamers that play this game and has legit earned money twice over to buy those same cars you talking about, heck in my short time in playing I'm sitting on 12 million myself...

Don't knock what other people like in there game, and no need to reply because I won't be responding back to this thread.

Wow. Someone really doesn't like their opinion challenged...

Anyways. It's really unfortunate that GT7 is this way. It is the superior driving game against the new Forza, but it's nearly a full time job just to get a few exotic cars (forget ever completing your collection).

I love racing games. GT7 is one I really enjoy but I agree on how low the amount of credits you earn vs what the cost of the cars are. I'm at the point now where I just set up custom races and do 15 to 25 laps to earn some decent credits.

That said if you want to just race with no need to earn anything, no need to buy cars, I strongly recommend Assetto Corsa Competizione. This game in my opinion is the best racing game out there. You can tailor the game to your liking and set it up so you get very competitive races no matter what your skill level.
