Question about MX vs. ATV online

    Question about MX vs. ATV online

    When I join an XBOX game online, under the "status" column, there are several different symbols.

    1) a thumbs up
    2) a helmet
    3) What looks like a gear, or sprocket
    4) two arrows, one pointing left, and one pointing to the right.

    I have had each of these next to my name at different times, but don't know what each one means. I was in a lobby where 5 other people had a thumbs up, and I had a helmet. I am guessing the thumbs up means ready, but I only had a helmet, and could find no option to make mine a thumbs up. The game never started, and I left figuring they were all waiting for me.


    Any help is appreciated.

      It was my understanding that "helmet" was currently in a race. If you were in the lobby and you had a helmet, maybe not.

      The gears are changing options like rider and bike, etc. But the thumbs up is ready, and there's no way for you to set that...it does it automatically. For you to have a helmet though, while in the lobby...maybe I'm just misunderstanding it, but that's weird.

              Thanks for the reply, what you wrote makes sense, though I did have the helmet next to me. I have had a fair share of problems with getting booted, and not connecting. Think they have a few things to work out.
