NASCAR 2003 PC vs XBOX...are there any DIFFERENCES..??
Could someone post some of the differences between the PC and XBOX versions?....features?.....graphics?..options?

Practically everything on the PC is better (and I like the XBox version actually).
The car setup options are infinitely better. There's even a "computer help" section where you can get estimated car speeds from the computer for the tracks. Pretty cool.
The physics are damn good actually, almost to Nascar 2002 level by Papy. The cockpit view gives you a larger field of vision which I liked.
On pace laps, you can actually drive it manually with a small red "distance indicator" that tells you how far you need to be from the car in front of you. You know that on XBox, you're automatically on "auto drive". The option is there, but it's not a necessity.
Drafting and driving is very similar. You still need to turn a pretty good line to be competitive.
The AI is what impresses me. I haven't been rear ended or slammed around, even at Bristol or Martinsville. Maybe I've been lucky, but it seems to be done very well. You can even adjust AI aggressiveness and ability if you want (think you can on XBox anyway).
I think what it runs down to for me the most is that I'm VERY used to my PC racing setup (Logitech MOMO Force, Act Labs Clutch Pedal system and an Act Labs USB Shifter), so using a comfortable setup with the game makes it feel worlds better than the XBox version to me.
When it comes down to brass tacks, it's something like this: If you have hours and hours of time to practice a game, stick with Nascar 2002 by Papy. If you like the bells and whistles, and still want a fairly realistic stock car game, yet don't have 40 hours a week just to play it, you'll have a blast with this. The career mode is obviously better than Papy's, since N02 doesn't even have one.
It is definitely geared toward the simulation side more than its console brethren, but not in a manner that converts it into something that it wasn't designed to be. -

I have been enjoying it but I thought career mode would be more in depth or have more things to look at like NEWS, STATS, ect....It seems like once you finish a race....the only thing to do is goto the NEXT race....Am I missing certain Franchise screens somewhere??....What happened to all the Sponsering and other stuff like that?
And can I design the look of my car the way I want it or do I always have to use some other driver's designed car??Comment

Well, I take some of my words back on the PC version. I had done quite a few quick race and practice sessions to tweak setups, but once I ran back and decided to try career, I found out it wasn't there. Just season. So are Thunder Licenses (gone). It's basically just race now, or race season. Features are far superior on XBox, but gameplay is superior on PC.
As far as sponsors and such, you need to go to team management between races to mess around with things. You can R&D engines and chassis, fabricate parts, and hire/fire team members there. In addition, you can see your stable of cars (your cars will begin to vary as you progress...I have specific "road course" cars and super speedway cars due to their grip/aerodynamics now), and build new cars from engine/chassis combos. To use your own car, you can go to "features" and choose "create-a-car". Don't worry about sponsors on the create-a-car, because they'll change during a season. Also you can modify your car's look during the year.
If you haven't begun to dive into this area, you're missing a huge part of the game.
Of course, that brings me back to my first point. It's not even IN the PC version. PC plays better, but I'll probably go back to my XBox after a while. Matter of fact, I did late last night just to win the Daytona 500 again.Comment
