    Toca 2 Question

Finally picked this game up, and I'm having a friggin' blast! But the darned thing didn't come with a manual. Stupid E-Bay!! At least it was cheap and came with Colin McRae 04, which did come with a manual.

The only thing I can't figure out, is what is the damage icon that is between the shocks and the wheel? I've never had that get damaged... does it ever?

    Thanks.

I think that's the engine. I haven't played this game in a while so I'm not exactly sure. It is a great game though. Best racer I've played on a console.

I don't think it's the engine. The engine is the icon on the far right. From right to left, it's Engine, wheels, mystery icon, shocks, gearbox.

The mystery one looks like a circle with a question mark inside of it.

Are you talking about steering? The wheels take damage separately from the steering assembly. I don't have the manual in front of me, but I think steering is about the only thing you're missing. Could your mystery icon be a steering wheel?

If the game has steering damage, then that has to be it. Thanks!

Yeah, it does look kinda like a steering wheel. Wonder why I've never seen any damage on it?

You have to really head-on a lot of things to damage your steering. It's the equivalent of axle damage or steering shaft damage. Take some of the chicanes at Surfer's Paradise and plow into the walls at top speed. You'll take some damage.
