If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Originally posted by jmood88WHy would I lie? If I didn't play the game then I wouldn't say anything about it. Why would I wait all this time to say anything about gt4? The only other time I even aknowledged that gt4 existed was when I made a thread asking a question about it. I have no reason to lie about the games I've played.Comment

Maybe he was pointing out that GT4's physic was so bad that he put the game down... thus answering the main topic....Comment

Re: Who is still playing GT4?
Specifically, what are your issues with the physics? That's an extremedly broad category to label as "almost non-existant". It's not like the cars are drifting off into space.
I know I can go drive my car outside, come back and give it a go with the DFP and feel like they did, for the most part, a really good job. Even without the wheel I can't think of any major gripes with the game other than the lack of damage and almost non-existant CPU AI.Last edited by tenth; 04-21-2005, 03:59 PM.Comment

Originally posted by jmood88My issue is that the cars all feel the same(at least they did to me) and it was wayyy too easy to turn and move around. It didn't feel like the car had that much weight or anything.
What settings do you/were you driving with? Do you own this?Comment

Re: Who is still playing GT4?
That's likely the problem with the easy controls then. Driving aids are on by default. Driving without them is considerably more difficult. I had turned them off when a few friendswere playing and they couldn't stay on the track at all...Comment

Re: Who is still playing GT4?
Yup. It's the driving aids. I haven't taken the time to remove them myself, too lazy to.Comment

Bud. I'm still playing it and will play for the next 1-2 years.
This game is the most realistic racing game ever released. The physics are awesome (jmood88, try to remove driving aids. than you will feel the car), and the car's response to every move is realistic.
As we say here in Brazil, this is a game for MEN, and not children. If you qualify in the children-arcade-style level, keep away from GT4, But if you want to REALLY drive a car and get realistic responses to it, grab GT4."There's a point to where you can drive yourself crazy venting about what a game isn't while being completely aloof to what a game is."

Re: Who is still playing GT4?
I'm still playing it, though not quite as frequently as I did the first few weeks I had it. I'm currently trying to figure out which I car to use in the Professional GT Championship. After beating all of the Beginner, Japanese and other professional events, I still don't have a car that is fast enough to compete in the final pro series. Anyone have any suggestions? Would love to have that Nissan Race Car (92?), but I can't buy it, and don't know which event awards it as a prize.
Edit: looks like it is one of the endurance events....blehLast edited by b_assassin; 04-29-2005, 06:12 PM.Comment
