Tips on tuning a RWD ???

Seems like once I get my RWD cars maximised with all available uprades I cant keep the azz end on the pavment anymore. The torque is too high and the rear tires rip free during shifting in acceleration. Its worse when coming out of a corner.

I screwed with all types of tuning settings for all components , but still cant get it right.

Can some cars just not handle an absurd amount of power ? One of the cars giving me problems with htis is a maxed out 1990 RX7.

    ANy tips appreciated fellas.

Bro, that's real world. If your power to weight ratio exceeds the grip limitations of your tire compound, you're pretty much done. The only advice to give you is "ease up on the gas trigger". Feathering the throttle, keeping it at the edge of traction is the only way to drive a beast like that.

It's possible, but there's no "magic adjustment" you can make to suddenly have a car that drives like a Class C or something. If you crank everything up, you need to crank up your throttle technique.

Sounds kind of dickish, but it's not intended that way. You just can't exceed the limitations of the car without adapting your driving style. That's what makes Forza so damn realistic, and the best racer out there.

dont mash the gas! It's like driving a real car with some HP, you just cant stomp the gas pedal, especially if you are turning. Like Terry said you have to ease into it.

No offense taken man. Just making sure Im not missing something here. I have already begun going light on the trigger and feathering. Just sukks to know I have all that power and I cant jump on it right away.

I asumed it was the case that some cars just have their limits.

Yeah...I mean, you could soften the rebound and lighten the spring tension on the rear tires. What you want to end up thinking about is getting the weight transfer to the rear, then keeping it there. By not having shocks that rebound as fast, but compress the same, then the ***-end stays planted. You also can drop the pressure in the rear tires.

Anything you can do to keep the rear end squatted on the ground, but it won't help you if you have a leadfoot :y4:

Yeah, I pretty much know jack sh*t about cars, I was thinking about starting a thread for some of the noobs to learn/ask some questions about tuning.
