    Heading to "The Track" tomorrow!

I know that there are a few IRL haters on here, but I get all giddy this time of year. Tomorrow morning I am headed to the speedway at 9:30am for a day at the track. I am sure there may be a few Miller Lites along the way as well, and perhaps a hot dog or three, but I can't wait to walk through the gates and hear the roars of the engines at pole day tomorrow. If only this damn rain will stop, it is going to be about 65 degrees tomorrow, perfect for some fast laps. They are already knocking on 228's door!

No reason to be hating on the IRL this time of year. It's Indy time . Have a good time and give SeaBass some extra props from me!

Well, I managed to stay dry. Unfortunately I also managed to be drunk by 10:30 in the morning. Haven't done that in a long time! I was pretty pissed when they decided to shut the track down and then the sun came out 30 minutes later and the remainder of the day was absolutely beautiful. I am still biter about it, because my honey-do list is far to long today to head over there like I would like to. Hopefully they will still be running Thursday and I can head over, there is also carb day left on Friday. Oh well, there was free beer, fried chicken, and hot dogs all day so it wasn't a total loss.

Trying it again tomorrow. This time the forecast looks a bit more promising. Unfortunately this time the beer and food are not free though.

Great stuff. Bump day with no bumping. There was FRIGGIN NO BODY there today,,,,, just that aluminum colored fan section where everyone wore aluminum colored shirts to hide from the cameras..... WTF

I was flipping around the dial and just happen to stumble on the Jimmy Kite story..... and boy that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Of course the boys at the IRL will spin this as a positive some how. So far there is lots and lots of race I500 tickets still up for sale.

              zzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzz

Oh, sorry, I fell asleep there. Must be because your IRL bashing is so freaking old and tired. I had a good time, and so did my brother in law that I took to the track for the first time ever. Seeing Kenny Brack turn basically a 229, which is faster than the poll, and seeing Danica Patrick up close in street clothes was well worth it to me. While I don't really know the Jimmy Kite story, I did find out that he is from very close to my hometown, same age, and probably played baseball against, so that is pretty cool. But I am sorry to interupt your ramblings, please feel free to continue, I am sure you will find someone that cares.

LOL what did I say that is not true? It aint bashing if it is true. Glad you had a good time and I'm not trying to take that from you. However I love Indy and it is sicking to see what it has become. Do tell how many people were there because t.v it looked like a ghost town. Oh and dont take my comments as mindless bashings. Just wait and read all my post here. Soon you will start to see things come around that I have talked about months ago. Mark my words that as it stands now Chevy and Toyota are gone from the IRL. The IRL can have their head in the sand publicy as much as they want to but inside those board rooms at 16th and Goergetown they know the score. I dont draw a paycheck from a racing series but I have my sources as well.
